What is the dead zone of a thermostat? Verified

Many modern thermostats have a dead zone. If the temperature deviates less than 4°C from the set temperature, the system will not heat or cool. This so called dead zone of the thermostat prevents the system from turning on and off too often, saving energy.

What is the best place to mount a thermostat? Verified

The best place for a thermostat is approximately 1,5 meter above the ground. Never place the thermostat nead a radiator or other heat emitting equipment or in direct sunlight. Choose a room that is used often. In most cases this is the living room.

My unit is flashing between numbers which I think are the programmed temperatures and the full number screen you get at turn on. The heating isn't working. If I turn it off for a bit then on again it looks normal for maybe 15mins then reverts to the flashing and floor never heats up. Any ideas? It isn't any of the error codes shown in manuals that I can find.

Hi, my thermonet TH132-F doesn’t heat up the floor. I have set the temperature to 82F, manual mode but nothing happens. On the screen I can see the following icons: Hand- sun- 59F (which doesn’t moves up) and the 5 crescendo bars at the bottom left. Would you have any solution please? Thank you very much. Eliott

Did you get an answer for this as I am having the exact same issue where the resting floor temperature being displayed is around 30 degrees C when no heating has been on within several days.

Hi, I have the same problem with a totally blank screen, how did you fix it? How did you turn it on and off as a temporary fix as the power button on the thermostat is unresponsive?
