Step 11: Disassembly Step 12: Packing the tent
Step 8: Secure guy lines
1) Secure tent using all guy lines and stakes..
Tent must be secured for proper
function.
1) To take down the tent, disassemble in
reverse order.
2) Remove accessories (if included).
3) Remove and fold fly.
4) Be sure to leave doors and windows
unzipped to avoid zipper damage.
5) Remove stakes with hammer or stake
puller. DO NOT pull on tent.
6) Carefully disengage poles from fast feet.
Carefully push pole away from you through
the hanger to minimize risk of damage to
tent or poles.
7) Keep stakes in bags provided.
1) Spread tent flat, distribute evenly.
2) Fold into quarters not to exceed the length
of pole bag.
3) Lay pole bag at opposite end from door.
Tightly roll bag, skin and fly forcing air
through unzipped door.
4) Secure with ties and place in carry bag with
stakes and accessories.
5) Tent must be clean and dry before storage.
Store off concrete floor.
Be certain campfires are extinguished.
Dispose of trash appropriately.
Dimension A should
be close to but not
exceed the length
of the pole bag.

Step 5: Stake tent
1) Stake down the tent by inserting a stake
through the stake loops, located along the
perimeter of the tent.
2) Make certain the tent floor is pulled out
evenly and tightly.
3) Hammer the stakes into the ground at a
45˚ angle using a hammer or mallet.
Step 10: Fully assembled
Tent appears as shown.
1) Unfold the fly and place over the tent. Position the
logo on the left side of the tent.
2) Attach hook and loop tabs on the underside of the fly to
the frame.
3) Attach the fly to the tent by attaching the plastic buckle
on fly ends to corresponding buckle located at the stake
loops. Buckles can be adjusted to make fly taut.
Step 6: Attach fly
Step 7: Insert and secure fly pole
1) Insert the fly pole (F) through the
sleeve found at the edge of the
fly over the front door.
2) Flex the pole and insert each end
into the plastic hub attached to the
front leg poles (D).
Step 9: Attach mud mat
1) Attach the rings on the mud mat to the
toggles near the bottom of the door.
2) Insert stakes in loops at outer corners
of the mud mat. Hammer the stakes
into the ground at a 45

angle using a
hammer or mallet.
1) Accessories may be attached.

Can I store my tent when it's wet? Verified

Only for very short periods of time. When a tent is stored while wet for a week or longer, it can get moldy. This is harmful for your tent and possibly your health.

How do I impregnate a tent? Verified

Pitch the tent, clean the cloth and let it dry. Apply the impregnation agent on the cloth with a plant sprayer or other spray. It is also possible to use a paint roller or brush. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent. Also treat the inside of the tent. Thoroughly clean any windows with a moist cloth. Do not let the impregnation agent dry on it. Let the tent cloth fully dry. Repeat the treatment if needed.

Can I repair a tear or hole in the canvas of my tent myself? Verified

There are special pieces of self-adhesive patches of cloth available for synthetic tent canvases. Stick one of these patches on both sides of the hole or tear. For cotton tent canvases or mixed material tent canvases it's best to use patches that can be ironed on. This will require an iron.

When a zipper is running smoothly, use a dry PTFE spray or silicone spray. Do not spray onto the cloth and preventively spray to prevent future problems.

On grassland or forest surfaces you can use semi circular or plastic pegs. On rocky surfaces you need to use rock pegs. On clay surfaces you can use semi circular, plastic or universal pegs. On gravel surfaces you need semi circular or universal pegs and on sand you need to use wooden pegs.

The impregnation agent leaves white stains or a white haze on the tent cloth, what can I do about this? Verified

If the agent leaves a white haze or white stains on the tent cloth, this means you have applied more impregnation agent on those areas. This is not harmful and the stains often disappear over time. It is not advisable to use less impregnation agent to prevent stains. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent to give good results.
