Load the laundry, close the door and turn the programme selector
to the desired programme; the “Start/Pause” indicator blinks.
The temperature and spin speed shown on the display can
be altered by pressing the “Temperature” key or the
“Spin” key . If you do not use the “Dosing Aid” , add
detergent now.
If the combination programme/option or option/option is not
possible, the indicator switches off automatically and a signal
sounds. To activate options around the display, just press the key
until the relevant symbol on the display lights up.
Colours 15°” button
Saves energy used for water heating while maintaining a good
wash result.
Supports colour maintenance when washing coloured laundry.
Recommendable for lightly soiled laundry without stains.
Make sure that your detergent is suitable for cold wash
temperatures (15 or 20 °C).
Not selectable for Cotton 70 - 95°C.
“Rapid” button
Enables quicker washing by shortening the programme duration.
Recommendable for only lightly soiled laundry.
Not selectable for Cotton 70 - 95°C.
“Prewash” key
Adds a prewash cycle to the wash programme selected; prolongs
the programme by about a quarter of an hour.
Recommended for heavily soiled laundry (e.g. containing sand or
granular dirt).
“Intensive rinse” key
More water is added and rinse cycle is prolonged.
Particularly suitable for areas with very soft water or for washing
baby linen, and helps people with allergies.
“Soil level” key
Adapts the programme duration to the soil level of your laundry
(small = lightly, medium = normally, big = heavily soiled). Also
influences the detergent quantity recommendation when using
the “Dosing Aid” button.
Not all soil levels are selectable for each programme.
“Spin” key (incl. “Rinse Hold” )
Press the key to change the predefined spin speed. If you select
spin speed “0”, the final spinning is cancelled and the water is
drained out only. However, intermediate spin phases remain
during the rinse.
If you select “Rinse hold” , the laundry remains in the last
rinse water without progressing to the final spin cycle, to avoid
creasing and prevent colours from changing. To activate the
“Rinse hold”, press the “Spin” key repeatedly until the “Rinse
hold” symbol on the display lights up.
- The programme stops to “Rinse hold” when on the
display blinks; the “Start/Pause” indicator blinks as well.
- To terminate the “Rinse hold” by spinning the laundry, press
“Start/Pause” - the laundry will be spun with the default spin
speed. You can also select another spin speed with the “Spin”
button before you start the spin cycle with “Start/Pause”.
- To terminate the “Rinse hold” by draining the water without
spinning, press the “Spin” button until spin speed “0” appears
on the display; then press “Start/Pause” to start the draining.
- Do not leave the laundry to soak for too long in the “Rinse
hold” (especially silk!).
You can postpone your programme to complete at a later time:
press the key to select in how many hours the programme shall
be finished. Thus, it allows you to have your laundry ready at a
particular time and to profit from more favourable energy rates
during the night, for example.
The time until the “Cycle end” can be selected in full hour time
segments (1 to 24 h). When you press the key, the shortest
possible time will be displayed; keep on pressing the key to
loop through all the available times. To remove it again, keep
on pressing the key until you see the value “0:00”.
When you have selected the desired time until the “Cycle end”,
press “Start/Pause” - the countdown will begin.

Consumption values were measured in normalized conditions, in compliance with IEC/EN 60456. In the home, they may vary depending on the individual
water supply pressure and temperature, the load and the type of wash. The consumption data indicated are based on an inlet water temperature of approx.
15°C through the cold fill valve as well as the hot fill valve (if available). If your washing machine has a hot fill valve, connection of this valve to hot water
supply will lower the energy consumption by reduced heating times, depending on the individual hot fill inlet water temperature.
Water and energy consumptions refer to the default setting of the programmes, with temperature and load as indicated in the table; selecting any options
or changing the spin speed will also change the consumption data.
The programme duration may differ from the values indicated above as it depends on the operation conditions applicable at that time (see also
Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use).
** To reduce the water temperature, some cold water is added at the end of the main wash cycle before the water is drained.
*** Automatic adaptation of programme duration after detection of wash load.
* Reference programmes for Energy Label.
LOAD LAUNDRY AND SELECT PROGRAMME
SELECT ANY DESIRED OPTION
SET CYCLE END
During the countdown, you can still modify the programme
setting (select or deselect options, change spin speed etc.). If
the modifications prolong the programme duration so that it
overruns the originally set time until the “Cycle end”, the
programme will start immediately.
Sometimes the programme may finish before the selected
time until the “Cycle end” has expired (e.g. for small loads). In
this case, the washing machine will tumble the laundry
regularly to keep it fresh, until the selected “Cycle end” time
has expired. During tumbling, the display will show an
animation. The tumbling phase can be stopped at any time
either by pressing any button or by rotating the programme
selector; the animation will stop and the door will unlock in
about 1 minute as indicated on the display.
With the “Dosing Aid”, you can make your washing machine
indicate you the recommended detergent quantity for your wash
load, depending on the soil level selected and the size of the load.
Helps to save detergent and protect the environment and also
sensitive skin by avoiding detergent overdosing.
Before you use this function, you must adapt the washing
machine to the dosing amounts which are recommended for
the detergents you use. Also check if your regions water
hardness corresponds with the water hardness level “soft” of
your washing machine - if not adapt it.
Select programme and options and set cycle end before
activating the “Dosing Aid”.
For any details, refer to the separate “Dosing Aid” Instructions for Use.
If there is a programme setting which you use frequently, the
appliance offers the possibility to save one setting for each
programme so that it can be used again by just pressing the
“Favourites” key .
Select the desired programme, temperature, spin speed and
option(s), press and hold the “Favourites” key for at least 3
seconds. The heart symbol on the display shortly blinks
and then lights up - the programme setting is saved.
Next time you want to use your individual programme setting,
select the programme, shortly press the “Favourites” key
and start by pressing “Start (Pause)” .
If you want to replace the saved programme setting by another one:
Proceed as already described above - the previously saved
programme setting will be replaced by the new one.
Before starting a programme, the indicator lights to show that the
door can be opened. As long as a wash programme is running, the
door remains locked and must on no account be forced open. In
case you have an urgent need to open it during a running
programme, refer to “Reset a running programme before the end”.
The “Eco monitor” gives you a rough feedback about the power
consumption of the programme setting you selected.
As soon as you turn the programme selector to any programme,
the “Eco monitor” is on.
The indicator on the left is to show that the “Eco monitor” is active.
The four indicators next to it show the degree of consumption: the
less power your programme setting is forecasted to consume, the
less indicators will light up. This depends on the programme,
temperature and options selected, and also on the size of the wash
load. For that reason, the forecasted degree of power consumption
may adapt when the washing machine detects the wash load.
When you select a programme, the drum light will slowly go on
to assure a good visibility during laundry loading.
After starting your programme with “Start/Pause”, the drum
light will fade on and off while the washing machine detects the
laundry load. Subsequently, it will go off.
When the programme is finished, the light goes on again for a short
time; afterwards it will go off automatically to save energy. If you
want to switch it on again for unloading your laundry, just press any
option button or turn the programme selector (but not to “Off/O”).
The drum light will blink fast when a failure is detected.
Open the tap and press the “Start/Pause” button . The “Start/
Pause” indicator lights up. The display shows the remaining
programme time. During detection of the laundry load and new
calculation of the programme time, an animation appears on the display.
Prevents children from starting a wash cycle or changing the
settings of a running programme. Cannot be activated or
deactivated when the programme selector is in the “Off/O”
position. To activate the child lock:
Turn the programme selector to a programme position, or run
a programme as usual.
Press and hold the 2 buttons marked with the key symbol
simultaneously for a few seconds. A key symbol will
appear on the display to indicate that the child lock is active.
Any time you try to change a programme setting with active child
lock, a signal will sound; it cannot be changed anymore. The only
change possible is to switch the washer off by turning the programme
selector to the “Off/O” position. To deactivate the child lock, proceed
in the same way as for activating it (signal will sound twice).
Press and hold the marked buttons simultaneously for a few
seconds to switch off the peep sound of the buttons and at the
end of the programme; a long signal sounds. To switch it on again,
proceed in the same way; a short signal sounds twice.
If one of the failure indicators lights up, or in case of any malfunction,
consult the “Troubleshooting Guide” in your Instructions for Use.
Spin speed on display blinks: Unbalance during spinning.
The “Programme finished” indicator lights up. The display
shows “End”.
Turn the programme selector to the “Off/O” position.
21.Close the water tap.
22.Open the door and unload the machine.
23.Leave the door ajar to allow the drum to dry.
The symbol will light up at the end of the programme if you used
too much detergent. Use less detergent next time.
1.Press the “Start/Pause” button to pause the programme.
The indicator blinks.
2.Select the new programme, temperature, any options and
another spin speed if you want.
3.Press the “Start/Pause” button again. The new
programme continues at the same position where the
previous programme was interrupted. Do not add detergent
for this programme.
The “Reset/Drain button cancels a programme before the end.
Press and hold the “Reset/Drain button for a few seconds;
an animation appears on the display. The water is drained out; it
may last some time until you can open the door.
