INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Has the packaging been removed from under the appliance?
Note: gurgling noises from the refrigerating circuit after the
compressor cuts out are perfectly normal.

Is the plug properly inserted in the socket?
Is the electric cable intact?

Have hot foods been put in the appliance?
Has the appliance lid been left open for a long time?
Is the appliance positioned in a very warm room or near heat

Is the thermostat setting correct?
Has the fast freeze function (depending on model) been
pressed by mistake?
6. Too much ice on the upper edge.
Are the defrost water drainage plugs correctly positioned?
Is the appliance lid properly closed?
Is the appliance lid seal damaged or deformed? (See chapter

Have the 4 protection pieces been removed? (See chapter
"Installation")
7. Condensation forms on the external walls of the
appliance
It is normal for condensation to form under certain
atmospheric conditions (humidity above 85%) or if the
appliance is located in a damp or poorly ventilated room. The
performance of the appliance is in no way affected.
8. The layer of ice on the internal walls of the appliance is
not uniform.
This phenomenon is quite normal.
SAFEGUARDING THE ENVIRONMENT
1. Packing
The packaging material is entirely recyclable, and marked with
the recycling symbol. Follow local regulations for scrapping.
Keep the packaging materials (plastic bags, polystyrene parts,
etc.) out of reach of children, as they are potentially dangerous.
2. Scrapping
The appliance is manufactured using recyclable material .
This appliance is marked according to the European directive
2002/96/EC on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE).
By ensuring this product is disposed of correctly, you will help
prevent potential negative consequences for the environment
and human health, which could otherwise be caused by
inappropriate waste handling of this product.
The symbol on the product, or on the documents
accompanying the product, indicates that this appliance may not
be treated as household waste. Instead it shall be handed over to
the applicable collection point for the recycling of electrical and
electronic equipment.
Before scrapping, make the appliance unusable by cutting off the
power cable and removing the doors and shelves so that
children cannot easily climb inside the appliance.
Disposal must be carried out in accordance with local
environmental regulations for waste disposal. Deliver the
appliance immediately to an authorized dump; do not leave it
unattended even for a few days, since it is potentially dangerous
for children. For more detailed information about treatment,
recovery and recycling of this product, please contact your local
city office, your household waste disposal service or the shop
where you purchased the product.
Information:
This appliance does not use CFC. The refrigerant system
contains either R134a (HFC) or R600 (HC). Refer to the rating
plate inside the appliance.
Appliances with Isobutane (R600a): isobutane is a natural gas
without environmental impact, but is flammable. Therefore,
make sure the refrigerant circuit pipes are not damaged.
This product may contain Fluorinated Greenhouse Gases
covered by the Kyoto Protocol; the refrigerant gas is inside a
hermetically sealed system.
Refrigerant gas: R134a has a Global Warming Potential of (GWP)
1300.
Declaration of conformity
This appliance is intended for storing food and is
manufactured in conformity with European regulation (EC)
No. 1935/2004.
This product has been designed, manufactured and marketed
in compliance with:
- the safety objectives of Low Voltage Directive 2006/95/EC
(replacing 73/23/EEC and subsequent amendments);
- the protection requirements of Directive "EMC"
2004/108/CE.
• The electrical safety of the appliance can only be guaranteed if
the product is connected to an approved earth connection.
AFTER-SALES SERVICE
Before contacting After-Sales Service:
1. See if you can solve the problem yourself.
2. Switch the appliance on again to see if the problem has
been solved. If it has not, disconnect the appliance from the
power supply and wait for about an hour before switching
on again.
3. If the problem persists after this course of action, contact
After-Sales Service.

• the model,
• the service number (the number after the word SERVICE on
the rating plate on the rear of the appliance)
• your full address,
• your telephone number and area code.

INSTALLATION
Consultez le chapitre "AVANT D'UTILISER L'APPAREIL".
Retirez l'appareil de son emballage.
Retirez les 4 entretoises installées entre la porte
et l'appareil.
Assurez-vous que le bouchon de la goulotte
d'évacuation de l'eau de dégivrage (si disponible) est
correctement mis en place (5).
Afin d'obtenir des performances élevées et éviter
d'endommager la porte de l'appareil lorsque vous
l'ouvrez, veillez à garantir une distance d'au moins 7 cm
entre l'appareil et la paroi arrière et un espace de 7 cm
de chaque côté de celui-ci.
• Montez les accessoires (si disponibles).
1. Thermostat de réglage de la température.
2. Voyant rouge (si prévu) : lorsqu'il s'allume, il indique que la
température interne de l'appareil n'est pas encore
suffisamment froide.
3. Voyant vert (si prévu) : lorsqu'il est allumé, il indique que
l'appareil est en marche.
4. Touche lumineuse jaune/orange (si prévue) :
active/désactive la fonction de congélation rapide. Lorsqu'elle
est allumée, elle indique que la fonction de congélation
rapide est active.
La configuration du bandeau de commandes peut différer
en fonction des modèles.
Mise en service de l'appareil
La température de l'appareil a déjà été préréglée en usine
pour le fonctionnement à la température conseillée de -18 °C.
Branchement de l'appareil.
Le voyant vert s'allume (si présent).
Le voyant rouge s'allume également (si présent), pour indiquer
que le congélateur n'a pas atteint la température nécessaire
pour pouvoir y introduire les aliments. Il s'éteint généralement
6 heures après avoir mis le congélateur en marche.
Après avoir branché l'appareil et atteint la température
correcte (il faut compter environ une heure pendant laquelle
la porte ne s'ouvre pas), assurez-vous que la fonction de
congélation rapide est désactivée (le voyant jaune, si prévu,
est éteint).
Placez les aliments uniquement après que le voyant rouge
est éteint (si présent).
Le joint de la porte étant parfaitement étanche, il n'est pas
possible de rouvrir la porte du congélateur immédiatement
après l'avoir fermée. Il est nécessaire d'attendre quelques
minutes avant de rouvrir la porte du congélateur.
Réglage des températures
Sélectionnez la température correcte avec le thermostat. Pour
régler la température de l'appareil, procédez comme suit:
Tournez le bouton du thermostat sur la position 1 si vous
souhaitez avoir une température de conservation moins
froide.
ournez le bouton du thermostat sur la position 6 / si vous
souhaitez avoir une température de conservation plus froide.
En cas de chargement partiel, c'est-à-dire lorsque le
chargement est positionné au-dessous du symbole "e"
indiqué à l'intérieur de l'appareil, il est conseillé de régler le
thermostat sur les positions les plus basses (sur la position
"e" lorsqu'elle est indiquée sur l'échelle de réglage du
thermostat).
