Always fill the washing machine with a maximum amount of laundry for the
relevant programme.
Wash normally soiled laundry without a prewash.
Instead of the ÊCottons 90 °C programme, select ÊCottons 60 °C and
additional function eco Perfect j.
Comparable cleaning result with significantly lower energy consumption.
Measure the detergent according to the manufacturer's instructions and water
hardness.
If the laundry is then dried in the tumble dryer, select the spin speed according to the
instructions of the dryer manufacturer.

Cancelling the programme
Programmes at high temperatures:
Allow laundry to cool: Select mRinse/Spin .
Press (Start/Add laundry).
Programmes at low temperatures:
Select the m Rinse/Spin programme (deactivate the

Press (Start/Add laundry).
Change the programme if...
... a wrong programme has been selected by mistake:
Reselect the programme.
Press (Start/Add laundry). The new programme starts from the
beginning.

... (Start/Add laundry) pressed and then §lights up in the display
panel. If ǯ is lit, the washing machine door cannot be opened.
Press (Start/Add laundry).

(Finished in) options button
When you select the programme, the relevant programme duration is displayed. You can delay the start of the pro-
gramme before it begins. The "Finished in" time can be set in increments of one hour up to a maximum of 24 hours.
Press the (Finished in) button repeatedly until the required number of hours is displayed (h=hour).
Press (Start/Add laundry). It is not possible to make adjustments once the programme has started.

You can change the spin speed shown or select (Rinse hold = no final spin), laundry remains in the water after the
last rinse, display panel . The maximum selectable spin speed depends on the model and on which programme
is currently selected.

Childlock
ª¥in the display panel You can lock the washing machine to prevent the functions you have set from being
changed inadvertently.
To activate: after the programme has started, press (Start/Add laundry) for approx.
5 seconds. ª¥ appears for approx. 5 seconds in the display panel, then the "Finished in"
time is shown again in the display panel.
To deactivate: press and hold (Start/Add laundry) for approx. 5 seconds.
Note:
If a button is pressed when the Childlock is active, ª¥ lights up for approx. 5 seconds,
then the "Finished in" time is displayed again.
ª¥lights up continouously if the programme selector is adjusted when the Childlock is
active.

Add laundry
§in the display panel If you want to add additional items of laundry after the programme has started, press
(Start/Add laundry). The machine checks whether adding laundry is possible.
§ lights up: Adding laundry is possible.
ǯflashes: Wait until § lights up.
Note: Do not open the washing machine door until § lights up.
ǯ: Adding laundry is not possible.
Note: If the water level and/or the temperature is high or if the machine is spinning, the
washing machine door remains locked for safety reasons.
To continue the programme, press the (Start/Add laundry) button.

Energy saving mode
The illumination of the display panel goes out after a few minutes and (Start/Add laundry) flashes.
To activate the illumination, select any button.

Remove any foreign objects - risk of rusting.
Leave the washing machine door and detergent drawer open
so that any residual water can dry away.
