THE CONTROLS
The controls arranged on the front panel consist of (right to left):
1 Programme Selector
2 Start button
3 Option buttons Easy Iron, Extra Rinse, Eco Wash, Stain Action,
4 Spin Select
5 Time Delay
6 Washing powder and conditioner drawer
Note: For safety reasons the appliance will not allow a temperature higher than that defined in the wash
programme.
Option buttons
The following option buttons are to be used in conjunction with wash programmes. They cannot be
used on their own. Before selecting any wash programme or option you must always refer to the
clothing care labels on your items of clothing.
Programme selector dial
To select a programme, turn the selector dial until the
required programme number on the front panel is
opposite to the indicator mark on the selector dial. To
start a programme, first ensure that the taps are fully
turned on, the door is closed and the mains supply is
switched on. Press the start button and then programme
will start. The programme is complete when the END led
will light-up. When selecting a wash programme on an
electronic machine, once your selection has been made
the control knob remains in this position and DOES NOT
move as the programme progresses. To re-set the
programme, or when the programme has finished its
cycle turn the programme dial to the RE-SET position
which prepares(and leave for approx 5 seconds) the machine for you to select its next programme.
Options (Are in addition to the Programme Selector Dial, they cannot be selected on their own).
Start
Once a programme selection has been made and any options (if required) have been selected press
this button to commence the wash programme.
Easy-Iron
When this button is pressed, at the end of the wash cycle, the items loaded in the washing machine will
continue to rotate for a further thirty minutes to reduce creasing. With this function enabled, the spin
speed is 800 rpm.The function does not work for the “wool” program.
Extra Rinse
The washing machine has been designed to reduce water consumption to a minimum. In very soft
water areas, or in the case where detergent residues are noticed at the end of the wash cycle, pressing
this button will add one more rinse to the program.
Eco Wash
When this button is pressed, the washing machine will run a wash cycle at the set temperature, though
with a longer duration. The button is enabled for the “COTTON” and “SYNTHETIC” programs.
Stain Action
Press this button to obtain a short wash of maximum temperature 40°C and approximately 10 minutes
duration prior to the main wash.
This function can only be used, on the “COTTON” and “SYNTHETICS” programs.
NOTE: when this option is used, detergent must also be added to the pre-wash detergent
compartment.
Spin Select
The machine offers a wide selection of spin speeds that can be selected beforehand according to the
wash program. To change the spin speed, simply press button to select the required speed. The
corresponding speed led will light-up each time the button is pressed. To exclude the spin, select the
led corresponding to symbol .
Time Delay
The machine is fitted with a delayed start function. This allows the washing machine to be programmed
to start the wash cycle up to 8 hours later. The delay in hours can be selected as follows: pressing
button once will delay the wash for 1 hour, pressing twice will delay the wash for 2 hours, and so on for
a maximum of 8 hours.
