SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ THIS FIRST
KEEP THESE INSTRUCTIONS
This xture is intended for installation in accordance with the National
Electric Code (NEC) and Local Code specications. Failure to adhere to
these codes and instructions may result in serious injury and/or property
damage and will void the warranty.
1) WARNING: This xture is not to be installed within 10 feet (3M) of a pool,
spa or fountain.
2) According to the requirements of the National Electric Code (NEC), direct
burial rated wire is to be buried a minimum of 24” [152mm] beneath the
surface of the ground. Conductors in rigid metal conduit or intermediate
metal conduit must be buried a minimum of 6”. Conductors in nonmetallic
raceways must be buried a minimum of 18”.
3) This xture shall use an incandescent or tungsten halogen 75 watt maximum
PAR20, PAR30, or PAR30LN type lamp only.
CAUTION
ELECTRICAL POWER MUST BE TURNED OFF DURING INSTALLATION OR MAINTENANCE.
WHEN INSTALLING KICHLER
®
LANDSCAPE LIGHTING (LINE VOLTAGE OR LOW VOLTAGE),
CARE SHOULD BE TAKEN TO KEEP CLEAR OF POTENTIALLY COMBUSTIBLE MATERIALS.
WHEN MAINTAINING THE FIXTURES, BE SURE TO REMOVE LEAVES, PINE NEEDLES, GRASS
CLIPPINGS, MULCH, OR ANY DEBRIS THAT HAS ACCUMULATED ON THE LIGHT BULB, LENS,
OR BODY OF THE FIXTURE.
ASSEMBLY AND INSTALLATION
1) Determine desired location for fixture and dig hole. Hole should be
approximately 8” (203mm) in diameter and 13” (330mm) deep.
2) Run conduit or direct burial cable to the hole.
3) Attach the conduit or direct burial cable to the bottom of the housing. Use
only liquid-tight type ttings to prevent the entry of ground water into the
xture. Fitting threads must be sealed using an appropriate sealant.
4) Fill bottom of hole with approximately 3” (76mm) of pea gravel.
5) Place xture in hole and backll around the xture with soil.
6) Remove screws from top of xture and remove cap and lens.
7) Unplug the yoke assembly and remove from the xture.
8) Remove screws from wireway cover and remove wireway cover.
9) Run suitable supply conductors through conduit into wireway compartment.
10) Using suitable wire connectors, join the incoming conductors to the wire
leads on the bottom of the wireway cover.
11) Using the sealant included with the xture seal all unused conduit openings
and the wire entry point in the housing bottom interior. Instructions for mixing
the sealant are included on the sealant envelope.
12) Re-install the wireway cover and secure with screws.
13) Plug yoke assembly wiring harness into the receptacle on the wireway
cover.
14) Insert yoke assembly with into xture. The gasket around top of yoke
assembly should be inspected to insure it is clean and free of debris.
15) Install a proper lamp and adjust angle if desired.
16) Place lens and cap on top of xture and secure with screws.

3) Este artefacto debe utilizar solamente una lámpara tipo halógeno de
tungsteno de 75 vatios, máximo, PAR20, PAR30 o PAR30LN o lámpara
incandescente.
MONTAJE E INSTALACIÓN
1) Determine el lugar deseado para el artefacto y cave el hoyo. El hoyo debe
tener aproximadamente 8” (203 mm) de diámetro y 13” (330 mm) de
profundidad.
2) Corra el conducto o el cable de soterrado directo al hoyo.
3) Acople el conducto o el cable de soterrado directo a la parte inferior de
la cubierta. Use solamente accesorios estancos a los líquidos para impedir
la entrada del agua subterránea al artefacto. Las roscas del artefacto se
deben sellar utilizando un compuesto sellante apropiado.
4) Llene el fondo del agujero con aproximadamente 3” (76mm) de grava de
tamaño pequeño.
5) Coloque el artefacto en el hoyo y rellene alrededor del artefacto con tierra.
6) Quite los tornillos de la parte superior del artefacto y quite la tapa y la
lente.

12) Vuelva a instalar la tapa del canal de alambres y sujete con los tornillos.
13) Enchufe el arnés del cableado del conjunto de la horquilla en el
receptáculo en la tapa el canal de alambres.
14) Inserte el conjunto de la horquilla en el artefacto. La empaquetadura
alrededor de la parte superior del conjunto de la horquilla se debe
inspeccionar para estar seguro de que esté limpia y sin escombros.
15) Instale una lámpara apropiada y ajuste el ángulo si desea.
16) Coloque la lente y la tapa en la parte superior del artefacto y sujete con
los tornillos.
