CORRECT USE
CAUTION : The cooking process has to be supervised. A short cooking process has to be supervised
continuously.
WARNING : Unattended cooking on a hob with fat or oil can be dangerous and may result in fire.
Never try to extinguish a fire with water, but switch off the appliance and then cover flame e.g. with a lid or
a fire blanket.
- Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the hob surface since they
can get hot.
- Do not use the hob as a work surface or support.
- If the appliance is installed over a built-in oven that is equipped with Self-Cleaning function (Pyrolysis), do not
operate the appliance while the Self-Cleaning function is operating.
- After use, switch off the hob element by its control and do not rely on the pan detector.
CLEANING AND MAINTANCE
- The appliance must be disconnected from the power supply before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance
operation.
- Use protective gloves for cleaning and maintenance operations.
- Ensure that the appliance is switched off before replacing the lamp to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
- Never use steam cleaning equipment.
- Do not use harsh abrasive cleaners or sharp metal scrapers to clean the appliance door glass since they can
scratch the surface, which may result in shattering of the glass.
- Ensure the appliance is cooled down before carrying out any cleaning or maintenance operation.
- If the oven is installed below a hob, make sure that all burners or electric hotplates are switched off during
the Self-Cleaning (pyrolysis) function.
- Remove all accessories before running the pyrolysis function (also the lateral grids).
- Do not use abrasive or corrosive products, chlorine-based cleaners or pan scourers.

- Only preheat the oven if specified in the cooking table or your recipe.
- Use dark lacquered or enamelled baking moduls as they absorb heat far better.
- Switch the oven off 10/15 minutes before the set cooking time. Food requiring prolonged cooking will
continue to cook even once the oven is switched off."
