Inner Pitching First
The best way to pitch this tent is to consider it a Tunnel
design with additional front to back poles
Assemble poles on ground:- Steel Poles - 5 shaped roof
poles, 10 upright poles & corner pieces, 2 light canopy
poles ;F/glass poles – 1 straight roof pole - blue, 1 long
porch pole - black.
The poles are colour coded to match corresponding
pole sleeve entry points and to connect roof poles to
uprights.
Open out inner and position with front centre door to
required direction
Insert 3 side to side steel shaped roof poles through pole
sleeves.
Starting at one side, insert upright poles through the upper
pole sleeves and join to corner piece and roof pole
NB. – the pole ends are shaped to fit 1 way only
Locate the ends of the poles onto the Pin & Ring system
one at a time on one side locate the pin by following the
seam down the wall of the inner; then locate the opposite
ends on the other side.
Lay flat with the door on top and all the poles lying neatly
on top of each other.
Using the steel v-channel pegs, peg out the rear corners of
the tent
2 people can now lift the tent upright and the pull it
forward
Using the steel v-channel pegs, peg out the front corners
and the door of the tent
The inner tent should now be free-standing.
Insert 2 front to back shaped steel roof poles through pole
sleeves and also the blue fibreglass pole
Starting at one side, insert upright poles through the upper
pole sleeves and join to corner piece and roof pole
Carefully reposition the poles to ensure that the fitted
groundsheet is flat and wrinkle fr
Ring and Pin. Locate one end of each pole onto the
corresponding metal pin. The metal pin inserts into the
hollow metal ferrule on the end of each pole. (See Figure
1). Push the pole into a curve from the the opposite side,
one at a time, and locate all pole ends onto the metal pins.
Peg the corners of the tent through the metal rings using
pin-pegs. It is important to drive the peg into the ground at
a 45 degree angle to obtain the best grip. (See Figure 2).
Outer Flysheet
It is best to fit the flysheet from the front of the
tent
Lay the flysheet on the ground and position so that
entrance/porch corresponds with inner doorway..
Insert the remaining porch pole into porch pole sleeve
on the outside of the flysheet. The pole is colour
coded to match corresponding pole sleeve entry
point.
Locate the poles onto the pin system and push poles
into arch, one at a time, from the opposite side. Insert
pole ends onto corresponding pin system to form the
porch.
Pull the flysheet over inner tent and position the seams
to correspond with the poles on the inner tent. pts.
Fabric ties are located on the inside of the flysheet
around the mid-sides. These must be attached around
the pole crossover points by using a simple “bow” knot.
Peg out the two anchor straps on the porch area of the
tent using the V-pegs supplied. Repeat this for the
anchor straps at the corner of the bedrooms.
The anchor straps can be adjusted as required to ensure
that the flysheet remains taut in all conditions. Regulate
to suit conditions.
Care should be taken to avoid over tension of the
anchor straps as undue stress may cause damage
to the flysheet fabric.
Peg out and hook all remaining shock-cord pegging
points around the base of the flysheet.
Peg out ALL guy lines using alloy pin-pegs ensuring that
guy line fabric attachment points are evenly tensioned.
The detachable porch groundsheet is fitted by means of
elasticised hooks and pegging eyelets.
