IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Thank you for purchasing your
new Trailside tent. We have
designed and manufactured
these tents to give years
of trouble free enjoyment
and use. To maximize the
enjoyment of your tent, please
read the following information
and assembly instructions
with care.
Become familiar with your
new Trailside tent at home
by assembling the tent
at home before your rst
camping trip. After a long day
of travel a campsite is not a
good place to learn how to
set up a new tent.
When selecting a campsite,
make sure that the area is
at, has good drainage and is
free of sharp objects that may
damage the tent.
Carefully push each pole
through the proper pole
sleeve. Never force the pole
as this may cause damage to
the sleeve or pole.
PLEASE USE
COMMON SENSE
Erect your tent upwind away
from campres.
Do not cook with open ames
inside the tent.
Do not store ammables or
refuel stoves or lanterns in
your tent.
FIRE WARNING
Your Trailside tent fabric is
treated with a re retardant
but is NOT FIREPROOF. If
exposed to open ames or
other ignition sources the tent
may ignite and burn.
Tent
1. Unfold and spread tent out on a clear campsite area.
2. Assemble all shockcorded poles by unfolding and slipping the
shafts together.
3. Taking the 2 longer poles:
a) Insert one pole into the pole sleeve located on the left hand
side of the door.
b) PUSH pole through pole sleeves to diagonal rear corner of
tent.
c) Repeat procedures (a) and (b) with the other pole assem-
blies and sleeves.
4. Each corner of the tent has a web strip with a pin and ring
system. Insert the pin into the end of each pole closest to the
tent corners.
5. Hook clips on to poles.
Fly
1. Spread y over the tent.
2. Secure y to tent by attaching the inner ties to the tent poles.
3. Each corner of the y has a shockcord with an S-hook. Attach
the S-hook to the D-ring on the web/pin and ring strip found at
each tent corner.
4. Adjust quick-release buckle/strap system for a more taut y.
5. Insert the 2 vestibule poles into the grommets on the top of the
front canopy. With the poles held straight, attach and tighten
guylines to create a front awning.
Pegging and Guylines
1. Pull front base of vestibule away from tent. Place a peg through
each of the web loops and shockcorded loops and stake out
securely.
2 . Place a peg through the tent corner on each web/pin and ring
strip and peg out securely.
3 . At the mid-point of each side of the y is an elasticized loop.
Peg the elasticized loop securely to the ground.
4 . On the exterior of y are O-rings and web tabs which a guyline
can be attached and fastened securely to a peg.

dommages au mât ou au
passant.
VEUILLEZ UTILISER VOTRE
BON SENS
Monter votre tente eloignée du
feu de camp.
Ne jamais cuisiner à l’intérieur
de la tente.
Ne pas remiser de liquides
inammable dans votre tente.
INFLAMMABILITÉ
Votre tente Trailside a été traité
avec un enduit antiamme
mais n’est pas à l’épreuve du
feu. Une exposition directe à
une amme ou une source de
chaleur excessive peut causer
une incendie.
Tente
1. Sortir toutes les composantes des sacs de rangement. Étaler le
plancher de la tente sur le sol.
2. Assembler toutes les mâts solidarisés. Prendre soin de ne pas
endommager les embouts.
3. Utilisant les deux longs mats
a) Insérer un mât dans le passant située à la côté gauche de
la porte
b) Enler le mât diagonalement vers la coin arrière de la tente
c) Répéter avec l’autre mât
4. À chaque coin de la tente il y a un système anneau et goupille.
Insérer un bout du mât dans la goupille. Répeter avec l’autre
mât.
5. Attacher tous les crochets à l’armature.
Double Toit
1. Étaler le double toit sur la tente.
2. Attacher les sangles du double toit à l’armature de la tente.
3. À chaque coin du double toit il y a une bride élastique en «S».
Accrocher chaque bride à l’anneau du système anneau et
goupille.
4. Ajuster les courroies d’attaches rapides pour un double toit
bien tendu.
5. Insérer les 2 mâts du vestibule dans les oeillets situés à l’haut
de l’ouverture du double-toit. En tenant les mâts debout,
attacher et bien tendre les tendeurs pour créer un auvent.
Piquets et Tendeurs
1. Étirer vers l’extérieur la porte inférieure du vestibule et bien
ancrer à l’aide des piquets dans chacune des attaches
renforcies.
2. Placer un piquet dans chacun des ensembles anneau et
goupille tout autour de la tente et bien ancrer.
3. Situé tout autour du double toit il y a les cordes élastiques qu’il
faut bien ancrer à l’aide de piquets.
4. À la surface extérieur du double toit il y a des points d’attaches
avec oeillet. Attacher un tendeur à chacun de ses oeillets bien
ancrer et bien tendre le tendeur.

Can I store my tent when it's wet? Verified

Only for very short periods of time. When a tent is stored while wet for a week or longer, it can get moldy. This is harmful for your tent and possibly your health.

How do I impregnate a tent? Verified

Pitch the tent, clean the cloth and let it dry. Apply the impregnation agent on the cloth with a plant sprayer or other spray. It is also possible to use a paint roller or brush. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent. Also treat the inside of the tent. Thoroughly clean any windows with a moist cloth. Do not let the impregnation agent dry on it. Let the tent cloth fully dry. Repeat the treatment if needed.

Can I repair a tear or hole in the canvas of my tent myself? Verified

There are special pieces of self-adhesive patches of cloth available for synthetic tent canvases. Stick one of these patches on both sides of the hole or tear. For cotton tent canvases or mixed material tent canvases it's best to use patches that can be ironed on. This will require an iron.

The zipper of my tent won't run smoothly, what can I do? Verified

When a zipper is running smoothly, use a dry PTFE spray or silicone spray. Do not spray onto the cloth and preventively spray to prevent future problems.

No, this is probably condensation. Make sure the tent is properly ventilated to keep condensation at a minimum.

What tent pegs are best to use for which surfaces? Verified

On grassland or forest surfaces you can use semi circular or plastic pegs. On rocky surfaces you need to use rock pegs. On clay surfaces you can use semi circular, plastic or universal pegs. On gravel surfaces you need semi circular or universal pegs and on sand you need to use wooden pegs.

The impregnation agent leaves white stains or a white haze on the tent cloth, what can I do about this? Verified

If the agent leaves a white haze or white stains on the tent cloth, this means you have applied more impregnation agent on those areas. This is not harmful and the stains often disappear over time. It is not advisable to use less impregnation agent to prevent stains. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent to give good results.
