The wholewheat program just will not start ( the basic prog 1) does immediately. Is this a fault?

Some programs heat the water/wet ingredients first so it doesn't look like anything is happening BUT the pan is heating up.

How can I stop the paddle from sticking inside either the bread or cake once finished? When I remove whatever I have baked it stays inside or pulls the bake apart which ruins it!

Brilliant bread maker. Very low price Great bread Very easy to use I really cannot fault this machine Previous expensive machines lasted only a year or so. Leaked around the paddle sealing rings, Heater failures and drive broke. Spares ridiculous high prices. This machine is reliable simple and works.

I found Russell Hobbs customer service useless; I want to know when, in the basic program, the 2nd rise begins. This will enable me to remove the paddle before the bake. The paddle stays in situ throughout the bake, and when you remove the finished loaf from the tin the paddle absolutely wrecks the base of the loaf. I have contacted RH about this, they will not share this info. If anyone DOES know, please share - also does anyone have a good olive bread recipe for this machine? Cheers, Tone

Shame you didn’t have any luck with RH cust services. I have had to accept that I have to have a fight with the bread to get the paddle out now but as you say, it wrecks the base of the loaf. I’m hoping someone has an answer to your question - waiting eagerly otherwise I think I’ll look at buying from a different manufacturer.

If you manage to find out please post it here. I want to know when the 2nd rise BEGINS, that way I can remove the paddle and have the base of the loaf be in much better condition when it's baked; that is just one small hole in the base as opposed to how it looks after you've removed it from the paddle, or the paddle from it - either way it's raggedy and somewhat spoils the final product

Took 3 hours 20 mins for large basic loaf program 1. Very disappointed with result which was very dense & didn’t rise much. Been using other makers for years with great results.
