Question: Bought this RENBERGET office chair recently and cannot adjust the backrest (tilt), the mechanism is defective, it is only adjustable in height! Assembled it as described!

It is easy...the small black handle which adjust the height...can be pushed inside and out to lock and unlock backrest respectively.
