The sound of the Aftershokz is indeed not great straight out of the box. Get an app with an equalizer and boost the bass. Then put the supplied earplugs in your ears. That is a bit at the expense of their intention, to still hear ambient noise reasonably, but in a gym and possibly at home this works fine. And thanks the Aftershokz sound pretty good.
