This nebuliser is a high-quality device for inhalation

therapy for asthma, chronic bronchitis, and other respira-

tory illnesses.

The operation and usage of the device is very straightfor-

ward. All common liquid medication can be used for inha-

lation therapy.

Please read through these instructions carefully so that

you understand all functions and safety information. We

want you to be happy with your Microlife product. If you

have any questions, problems or want to order spare

parts please contact Microlife-Customer Service. Your

dealer or pharmacy will be able to give you the address

of the Microlife dealer in your country. Alternatively, visit

Type B applied part

1. Important Safety Instructions

 This device may only be used for the purposes

described in these instructions. The manufacturer

cannot be held liable for damage caused by incorrect

application.

 This device is not suitable for anaesthesia and lung

ventilation.

 This device should only be used with original acces-

sories as shown in these instructions.

 Do not use this device if you think it is damaged or

notice anything unusual.

 Never open this device.

 This device comprises sensitive components and

must be treated with caution. Observe the storage

and operating conditions described in the «Technical

Specifications» section.

 Protect it from:

- water and moisture

- extreme temperatures

- impact and dropping

- contamination and dust

- direct sunlight

- heat and cold



Only use the medication prescribed for you by your

doctor and follow your doctor's instructions with regard

to dosage, duration and frequency of the therapy.

 Never bend the nebuliser over 60°.

Ensure that children do not use this device unsu-

pervised; some parts are small enough to be

swallowed.

Electronic devices must be disposed of in accor-

dance with the locally applicable regulations, not

with domestic waste.



Use of this device is not intended as a substitute

for a consultation with your doctor.

2. Preparation and Usage of this Device

Prior to using the device for the first time, we recommend

cleaning it as described in the section «Cleaning and

Disinfecting».

1. Assemble the nebuliser kit AK. Ensure that all parts

are complete.

2. Fill the nebuliser with the inhalation solution as per

your doctor’s instructions. Ensure that you do not

exceed the maximum level.

3. Connect the nebuliser with the air hose 6 to the

compressor 1 and plug the power lead 2 into the

socket (230V~ / 50Hz).

or fit one of the face masks over mouth and nose.

- The mouthpiece gives you a better drug delivery

to the lungs.

- Choose between adult 8 or child face mask 9

and make sure that it encloses the mouth and

nose area completely.

- Use all accessories including the nose piece AL

as prescribed by your doctor.

5. Breathe in and out calmly during the therapy. Sit in a

relaxed position with the upper body upright. Do not

lie down while inhaling. Stop inhalation if you feel

unwell.

6. After completing the inhalation period recommended by

your doctor, switch the ON/OFF switch

to position

«O»

to turn off the device and unplug it from the socket.

7. Empty the remaining medication from the nebuliser

and clean the device as described in the section

«Cleaning and Disinfecting».



This device was designed for intermittent use

of 30 min. On / 30 min. Off. Switch off the

device after 30 min. use and wait for another

30 min. before you resume treatment.

3. Cleaning and Disinfecting

Thoroughly clean all components to remove medication

residuals and possible impurities after each treatment.

The compressor 1 and the air hose 6 should be

cleaned with a clean, moist cloth.



Always wash your hands well before cleaning

and disinfecting the accessories.



Do not expose the compressor to water or heat.



Replace the air hose for each treatment with a

new patient or in case of impurities.



Unplug the device before cleaning.

Cleaning with water



Wash all nebuliser components (except air hose)

under warm tap water (max 60 °C) for about

5 minutes adding if necessary a small quantity of

detergent following dosage and use limitations as

provided by detergent manufacturer.



Rinse thoroughly making sure that all deposits are

washed away and leave to dry.

Disinfecting



All nebuliser components (except air hose) can be disin-

fected with chemical disinfectants following dosage and

use limitations as provided by disinfectant manufacturer.



Disinfectants are usually available at pharmacies.

Sterilizing with steam



All nebuliser components (except air hose and masks)

can be heat steam sterilized up to 121 °C (20 min.) or

134 °C (7 min.). EN554/ISO11134.



The sterilisation packaging must conform to EN868/

ISO11607 and be suitable for steam sterilisation.



After sterilization always let all components cool

down to ambient temperature before further use.



Do not repeat sterilization cycle when compo-

nents are still warm.

4. Maintenance, Care, and Service

Order all spare parts from your dealer or pharmacist, or

contact Microlife-Service (see foreword).



We recommend replacing the nebuliser, mouthpiece,

and the face masks after 3 months use.



Check the filter continually for cleanliness and

replace it if dirty, or after a maximum of 3 months use.

Spare filters are provided with the device.



Never unscrew the plastic lid.

5. Malfunctions and Actions to take

The device cannot be switched on

 Ensure the power lead 2 is correctly plugged into

the socket.

 Ensure the ON/OFF switch 3 is in the position «I».



The device has automatically switched off due to over-

heating. Wait until it has cooled down and try again.

The nebuliser functions poorly or not at all

 Ensure the air hose 6 is correctly connected at both

ends.

 Ensure the air hose is not squashed, bent, dirty or

blocked. If necessary, replace with a new one.

 Ensure the nebuliser 5 is fully assembled and the

colored impactor AK-A is placed correctly.

 Ensure the required medication has been added.

6. Guarantee

This device is covered by a 3 year guarantee from the

date of purchase. The guarantee is valid only on presen-

tation of the guarantee card completed by the dealer

(see back) confirming date of purchase or the receipt.

 The guarantee covers only the compressor. The

replaceable components like nebuliser, masks,

mouthpiece, air hose, and filters are not included.



Opening or altering the device invalidates the guarantee.

 The guarantee does not cover damage caused by

improper handling, accidents or non-compliance with

the operating instructions.

1. Ważne wskazówki bezpieczeństwa

 Urządzenie może być wykorzystywane do celów

określonych w niniejszej instrukcji. Producent nie

ponosi odpowiedzialności za szkody powstałe

w wyniku niewłaściwej eksploatacji.

 Urządzenie nie jest przeznaczone do znieczulania

ani wentylowania płuc.

 Urządzenie powinno być używane jedynie z oryginal-

nymi akcesoriami przedstawionymi w instrukcji.



Prosimy nie używać urządzenia, jeżeli zauważą

Państwo niepokojące objawy, które mogą wskazywać

na jego uszkodzenie.

 Nie otwierać urządzenia.



Urządzenie zbudowane jest z delikatnych podzespołów

i dlatego musi być używane ostrożnie. Prosimy o prze-

strzeganie wskazówek dotyczących przechowywania i

użytkowania zamieszczonych w części «Specyfikacje

 Chroń urządzenie przed:

- wodą i wilgocią

 Używaj jedynie leków przepisanych przez lekarza

 Nigdy nie przechylaj inhalatora ponad 60°.

Dopilnuj, aby dzieci nie używały przyrządu bez

nadzoru; jego niektóre niewielkie części mogą

zostać łatwo połknięte.

Zużyte urządzenia elektryczne muszą być

poddane utylizacji zgodnie z obowiązującymi

przepisami. Nie należy wyrzucać ich wraz

z odpadami domowymi.



Użytkowanie inhalatora nie jest zamiennikiem

konsultacji z lekarzem.

Przed pierwszym użyciem zalecamy oczyszczenie urzą-

dzenia opisane w rozdziale

Czyszczenie i dezynfekcja

1. Zmontuj zestaw do inhalacji AK. Upewnij się czy

posiadasz wszystkie części.

2. Napełnij komorę środkiem inhalacyjnym, stosując

dawki zgodne z zaleceniami lekarza. Zwróć uwagę,

aby nie został przekroczony znak maksymalnego

napełnienia komory.

3. Podłącz zestaw inhalujący z przewodem powietrznym

- Wykorzystaj wszystkie załączone akcesoria do

inhalatora, w tym również końcówkę do nosa AL

zgodnie z zaleceniem lekarza.

5. Podczas zabiegu spokojnie wykonuj wdechy i wydechy.

Należy wygodnie usiąść oraz całkowicie rozluźnić

mieśnie, utrzymując górną część ciała w pozycji wypro-

stowanej.

Nie należy leżeć podczas inhalacji.

W razie

gorszego samopoczucia należy inhalację przerwać.

6. Po zakończeniu inhalacji w czasie zalecanym przez

lekarza wyłącz urządzenie ustawiając przełącznik 3

w pozycji «O» i odłącz wtyczkę od zasilania.

7. Opróżnij zestaw inhalacyjny z pozostałego leku

i wyczyść urządzenie jak opiasno w rozdziale

«Czyszczenie i dezynfekcja».



Urządzenie zostało zaprojektowane do pracy

w trybie: 30 minut pracy, 30 minut odpoczynku.

Wyłącz inhalator po 30 minutach pracy i odczekaj

kolejne 30 minut zanim ponownie go włączysz.

3. Czyszczenie i dezynfekcja

Gruntowne wyczyszczenie wszystkich komponentów po

użyciu inhalatora pozwala usunąć wszystkie pozosta-

łości leku i ewentualne zabrudzenia.

Kompresor 1 i rurki powietrzne 6 powinny być

wyczyszczone przy pomocy wilgotnej szmatki po

każdym użyciu.



Zawsze umyj ręce przed myciem i dezynfekcją

akcesorii.



Nie narażaj kompresora na działanie wody

i wysokich temperatur.



Wymieniaj akcesoria dla każdego nowego

użytkownika lub w razie potrzeby, gdy ich stan

wskazuje na znaczne zużycie.



Odłącz

urządzenie od sieci na czas czyszczenia.

Czyszczenie używając wody



Myj wszystkie komponenty

(poza przewodem

powietrznym)

pod ciepłą, bieżącą wodą (max 60 °C)

przez około 5 minut

dodając, jeżeli to konieczne deter-

gent w ilości określonej przez producenta detergentu.



Dokładne płukanie daje pewność, że wszystkie pozo-

stałości zostały usunięte.

Dezynfekcja



Wszystkie komponenty (poza przewodem

powietrznym) mogą być dezynfekowane chemicznymi

środkami dezynfekującymi. Należy stosować je według

instrukcji producenta.



Środki dezynfekcyjne są najczęściej dostępne

w aptekach.

Sterylizacja przy pomocy pary



Wszystkie komponenty (poza przewodem

powietrznym) mogą być sterylizowane parą w tempe-

raturze 121 °C (20 min.) lub 134 °C (7 min.). EN554/

ISO11134.



Pakiet sterylizujący musi spełniać wymogi normy

EN868/ISO11607 i być przeznaczony do parowej

sterylizacji.



Po sterylizacji zawsze pozwól ochłodzić się kompo-

nentom do temperatury pokojowej przed kolejnym

użyciem.



Nie powtarzaj sterylizacji na ciepłych komponentach.

4. Przechowywanie, konserwacja urzą-

dzenia oraz serwis

Wszystkie części zamienne zamawiaj w aptece lub

u przedstawiciela Microlife (zobacz przedmowa).



Najpóźniej po upływie 3 miesięcy używania, zaleca

się wymianę zestawu inhalującego, ustnika oraz

maski inhalacyjnej.



Utrzymuj filtr w czystości. Wymień filtr po maksy-

malnie 3 miesiącach używania.

Filtry znajdują się w komplecie, razem z inhalatorem.



5. Występujące problemy oraz środki

zaradcze

Nie można włączyć urządzenia

 Upewnij się, że wtyczka 2 jest właściwie podłą-

czona do gniazdka.

 Upewnij się, że włącznik 3 jest w pozycji «I».

 Urządzenie wyłączy się samoczynnie w przypadku

przegrzania. Poczekaj aż urządzenie ostygnie

i spróbuj ponownie.

Inhalator działa lecz słabo rozpyla lek

 Upewnij się, że przewód powietrzny 6 jest prawid-

łowo podłączony z obu stron.

 Upewnij się, że przewód powietrzny nie jest zatkany,

zgięty lub brudny. Wymień go jesli jest taka potrzeba.

 Upewnij się, że zestaw do nebulizacji 5 jest prawid-

łowo złożony i kolorowa nasadka AK-A jest umiesz-

czona na dyszy wylotu powietrza nebulizatora.

 Upewnij się, że wymagane lekarstwo jest na miejscu.

6. Gwarancja

Urządzenie jest objęte 3-letnią gwarancją, licząc od

daty zakupu. Gwarancja jest ważna tylko z wypełnioną

przez sprzedawcę kartą gwarancyjną (na odwrocie

strony) potwierdzającą datę zakupu lub paragonem.

 Gwarancja obejmuje jedynie kompresor. Pozostałe

akcesoria: pojemnik na lek (nebulizator), maski,

ustnik, przewód powietrzny i filtry nie są nią objęte.

 Otwarcie lub dokonanie modyfikacji urządzenia unie-

ważnia gwarancję.

 Gwarancja nie obejmuje uszkodzeń powstałych na

skutek nieprawidłowego użycia, nieprzestrzegania

instrukcji obsługi, uszkodzeń przypadkowych.
