Great product and works well. However, I need to reverse the door and Hotpoint want £70 to do it. It is not a straight forward DIY job like most tumble driers. Specs do not mention it is not reversible. Very disappointing.

The red light indicating that the bottom filter needs cleaning is on all the time, even though I have cleaned it. Hotpoint call centre says this is normal, but the Quick Guide says to clean the bottom filter "when the indicator turns on". Anyone else had this experience?

I recently bought this dryer and I am not impressed with it. It takes FOREVER to dry and I can't work out if it's a fault with the machine OR if it's just a VERY SLOW dryer. What has your experience been?

I have had exactly the same experience, though only had the machine for 2 weeks. I'm thinking maybe its the programme combination I am setting, so I am experimenting with other settings.

Can I stack my dryer and washing machine? Verified

In general it is possible to directly stack a dryer and washing machine directly on top of each other. This only works with front loading models. However, it is advisable to use a fitting accessory to do so. This will prevent the machines from vibrating and falling off and also prevents damage to the bottom machine.

Can I connect a dryer to an extension cord? Verified

Appliances that require large amounts of power, like a dryer, can not be connected to all extension cords. There are extension cords with thicker cables that are made to handle larger appliances.

What is the difference in usage between a washer-dryer and a separate washing machine and dryer? Verified
