A bench grinder is a motor allowing various accessories to be driven in rotation (grin-

ding-wheels, brushes, bands, polishing wheels etc..). It is possible to grind, sharpen or

deburr by using grinding-wheels of different grain (grain 40 for sharpening and grain

120 for ﬁnal grinding). Some bench grinders are mixed, combining several functions

and may be equipped with accessories for scouring, polishing, sanding. etc.

Una esmeriladora es un motor que permite accionar en rotación diversos accesorios

(muelas, cepillos, cintas, ruedas de pulir...). Permite aguzar, aﬁlar o desbarbar utilizando

muelas con diferentes granos (grano 40 para los trabajos de aﬁlado y grano 120 para el

aﬁlado de acabado). Determinadas esmeriladoras son mixtas, combinan varias funcio-

nes y pueden equiparse con accesorios que permiten decapar, pulir, lijar...

• The lighting function, if your machine has one, makes it more comfortable to work with in dark environments.

• A powerful motor guarantees intensive use.

• Some models equipped with a water trough allow the tool to be cooled during grinding in this way preserving steel quality.

• The grinding wheel dresser is an accessory allowing the grinding-wheel surface to be dressed and repaired.

• Tool holders enable positioning of the part to be sharpened. Some are dimensioned for grinding bits.
