Safety precautions

CycloneXL should only be used by adults and only for

normal vacuuming in a domestic environment. The

vacuum cleaner features double insulation and does

not need to be earthed. Disconnect the plug from the

mains before cleaning or maintenance of the vacuum

cleaner. Be sure to keep the vacuum cleaner in a dry

place. All servicing and repairs must be carried out by

an authorised AEG-Electrolux service centre.

Never vacuum:

• In wet areas.

• Close to ﬂammable gases etc.

• When housing shows visible signs of damage.

Never vacuum:

• Sharp objects, ﬂuids.

• Hot or cold cinders, lit cigarette butts, etc.

• Fine dust, for example from plaster, concrete, ﬂour,

hot or cold ashes.

The above may cause serious damage to the motor

– damage which is not covered by the warranty.

Electrical cable precautions:

Regularly check that the cable is not damaged. Never

use the vacuum cleaner if the cable is damaged.

Damage to the machine’s cable is not covered by the

warranty.

Veiligheidsinstructies

De CycloneXL-stofzuiger mag alleen door volwassenen

worden gebruikt en is bedoeld voor huishoudelijk

gebruik. De stofzuiger is dubbel geïsoleerd en hoeft

niet te worden geaard. Neem eerst de stekker uit het

stopcontact voordat u de stofzuiger gaat reinigen

of onderhouden. Bewaar de stofzuiger op een droge

plaats. Onderhoud en reparaties moeten altijd worden

uitgevoerd door een erkend AEG-Electrolux Service

Centre.

Stofzuig nooit:

• in natte ruimten.

• in de buurt van ontvlambare gassen, enz.

• als de behuizing zichtbare tekenen van schade

vertoont.

Stofzuig nooit:

• scherpe voorwerpen, vloeistoffen.

• hete of koude as, brandende sigarettenpeuken, enz.

• ﬁjne stof van bijvoorbeeld gips, beton, bloem of as.

Bovengenoemde voorwerpen en vloeistoffen kunnen

schade aan de motor veroorzaken. Dergelijke schade

valt niet onder de garantie.

Controleer regelmatig of het snoer niet beschadigd is.

Gebruik de stofzuiger nooit als het snoer beschadigd

is. Schade aan de kabel van het apparaat valt niet

onder de garantie.

Précautions de sécurité

L’aspirateur CycloneXL ne doit être utilisé que par des

adultes pour aspirer dans un environnement domesti

que normal. L’aspirateur présente une double isolation

et n’a pas besoin d’être relié à la terre. Débrancher la

prise avant de nettoyer ou d’entretenir votre aspira

teur. S’assurer de stocker l’aspirateur dans un endroit

sec. Toutes les révisions et réparations doivent être

effectuées par le personnel d’un Centre Service Agréé

AEG-Electrolux.

Ne jamais aspirer :

• Dans les endroits humides.

• A proximité de gaz inﬂammables, etc.

• Lorsque le corps de l’aspirateur est visiblement

endommagé.

Ne jamais aspirer :

• Des objets pointus ou tranchants, des liquides.

• Des cendres chaudes ou refroidies, des mégots de

cigarettes incandescents, etc.

• Des particules de poussière très ﬁnes issues entre

autres du plâtre, du béton, de la farine ou de cen

dres.

Les éléments susmentionnés peuvent provoquer de

graves dommages au moteur. La garantie ne prend pas

en charge ce type de dommages.

Précautions liées au câble électrique :

Vériﬁer régulièrement que le câble n’est pas endom-

magé. Ne jamais utiliser l’aspirateur si le câble est en

dommagé. Les dommages portés au câble de l’appareil

ne sont pas couverts par la garantie.

Der CycloneXL-Staubsauger darf nur von Erwachsenen

und nur für normales Staubsaugen im Haushalt

verwendet werden. Der Staubsauger ist doppelt

Reinigen oder dem Durchführen von Servicearbeiten

am Staubsauger den Netzstecker aus der Steckdose

ziehen. Den Staubsauger an einem trockenen Ort

aufbewahren. Alle Wartungs- und Reparaturarbeiten

müssen vom autorisierten AEG-Electrolux-

Kundendienst durchgeführt werden.

Niemals staubsaugen:

• In nassen Bereichen.

• In der Nähe von entﬂammbaren Gasen usw.

• Wenn das Gehäuse sichtbare Schäden aufweist.

Niemals staubsaugen:

• Scharfkantige und spitze Objekte, Flüssigkeiten.

• Heiße oder kalte Asche, brennende Zigarettenkip

pen usw.

• Feine Stäube (z. B. Gips, Zement, Mehl oder heiße

oder kalte Asche).

Diese Substanzen können den Motor schwer

beschädigen. Schäden dieser Art sind durch die

Gerätegarantie nicht gedeckt.

Vorkehrungen bei elektrischen Kabeln:

Kabel regelmäßig auf Schäden prüfen. Den

Staubsauger niemals benutzen, wenn das Kabel

beschädigt ist. Schäden am Kabel des Geräts sind

Can I use a regular vacuum cleaner to suck up ash? Verified

No, this is absolutely not possible. Ash that seems cooled may still be warm or even hot inside. A regular vacuum cleaner is not designed for this and it can cause a fire. Also, the filters of regular vacuum cleaners are not always suited for retaining extremely small particles such as ash. It can then reach the motor of the vacuum cleaner and cause damage.
