Question: The gas cylinder in my Verksam chair seems to have suddenly given up the ghost (I was sitting at my desk wondering why it was so high - I'm sure it was fine yesterday). I can't find Verksam in the current IKEA website. Do they not make it any longer? Can you get replacement cylinders? The chair is about 9 or 10 years old, but in pristine condition!

I also have a Verksam, they're not made anymore, but you can replace the gas cylinder with a generic replacement, for example https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07123XKLW/ref=pe_3187911_189395841_TE_3p_dp_1. There are videos on YouTube explaining how to switch the cylinders. I did this a year ago and it's been perfect since.
