Parts Needed

• Quiet Shield Repair Kit - 990098900

• 1 Drill Template – Shown to the right (not to scale)

o Template is guide only

 No specific material required.

 Template not supplied

• Tools – 5mm drill bit, 6.3mm drill bit, Drill and Pliers

(Drill bits not supplied)

Step 1

• Assemble quiet shield to base. Assure the dove

tail feature is engaged and the quiet shield is

fully pressed rearward.

Step 2

• Secure the quiet shield to the lower housing to assure

they do not separate during drilling (recommend to

wrap a plastic with cloth and use locking pliers).

• Place drill template on outside of upper housing rib

aligning it to the top of the housing and the front lip

of the rib.

• Hold template and drill 5mm hole through lower

housing and quiet shield using template as drill guide.

• Drill both sides (4 holes total)
