TENT PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS ROCK (UK)
Flysheet First Pitching
Assemble poles and lay them on the ground
Open out inner and position in required direction.
Insert the two longer poles diagonally through the pole sleeves on the inner tent
Locate one end of each pole at one side of the tent into the metal pin system attached to the
groundsheet
Push poles into an arch from opposite ends and locate pole ends into corresponding metal pin
Peg each of the 4 corners of the inner tent through the ring, of the ring and pin system
The main dome area of the tent should now be free standing
Insert the short pole into pockets on underside of flysheet, and tie in the center.
Pull flysheet over the inner tent and position seams to correspond with poles on inner
A number of hook & loop strips are located on the underside of the flysheet. These must be
secured to around the poles of the inner tent
Peg down each side of flysheet through the shock-cord pegging points, adjacent to the metal
rings of the inner tent. Use the pin-pegs supplied
Peg out all remaining shock-cord pegging points on the base of the flysheet using pin-pegs
Peg out ALL guy lines using pin-pegs ensuring that guy line fabric attachment points are evenly
tensioned.

Mit Außenzeltaufbau zuerst
Stecken Sie die Stangen zusammen und legen Sie sie auf den Boden
Innenzelt auslegen und korrekt ausrichten.
Stecken Sie die beiden längeren Stangen diagonal durch die Gestängekanäle des Innenzelts ein.
Befestigen Sie ein Ende jeder Stange auf einer Seite des Zelts in dem an der Bodenplane befestigte
Metallstiftsystem.
Schieben Sie die Stangen von den gegenüberliegenden Seiten in eine gewölbte Form und stecken
Sie die Stangenenden in die zugehörigen Metallstifte ein.
Befestigen Sie alle 4 Ecken des Innenzelts mit Heringen durch den Ring des Ring- und Stift-Systems.
Der Hauptkuppelbereich des Zeltes sollte jetzt frei stehen.
Legen Sie die kurze Stange in Taschen auf der Unterseite des Außenzelt und binden im Zentrum
Ziehen Sie das Außenzelt über das Innenzelt und richten Sie die Nähte so aus, dass sie an den
Stangen des Innenzelts verlaufen.
An den Unterseite des Außenzelts befinden sich eine Reihe von Klettverschlussstreifen. Diese müssen
um die Stangen des Innenzelts befestigt werden.

How do I impregnate a tent? Verified

Pitch the tent, clean the cloth and let it dry. Apply the impregnation agent on the cloth with a plant sprayer or other spray. It is also possible to use a paint roller or brush. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent. Also treat the inside of the tent. Thoroughly clean any windows with a moist cloth. Do not let the impregnation agent dry on it. Let the tent cloth fully dry. Repeat the treatment if needed.

Can I repair a tear or hole in the canvas of my tent myself? Verified

There are special pieces of self-adhesive patches of cloth available for synthetic tent canvases. Stick one of these patches on both sides of the hole or tear. For cotton tent canvases or mixed material tent canvases it's best to use patches that can be ironed on. This will require an iron.

When a zipper is running smoothly, use a dry PTFE spray or silicone spray. Do not spray onto the cloth and preventively spray to prevent future problems.

On grassland or forest surfaces you can use semi circular or plastic pegs. On rocky surfaces you need to use rock pegs. On clay surfaces you can use semi circular, plastic or universal pegs. On gravel surfaces you need semi circular or universal pegs and on sand you need to use wooden pegs.

The impregnation agent leaves white stains or a white haze on the tent cloth, what can I do about this? Verified

If the agent leaves a white haze or white stains on the tent cloth, this means you have applied more impregnation agent on those areas. This is not harmful and the stains often disappear over time. It is not advisable to use less impregnation agent to prevent stains. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent to give good results.
