TENT PITCHING INSTRUCTIONS APPLEBY 500 (UK)
FLYSHEET FIRST PITCHING:
Locate pole sleeves on the flysheet and insert poles. The poles are colour
coded to the pole sleeves.
Open out flysheet and position in required direction
Insert the steel poles through the pole sleeves on the outside of the
flysheet and connect them at the top with the triangular joining piece
On both sides of the tent, locate the ends of each pole into the
corresponding ring & pin
Make sure poles locate into correct pin system, all poles follow
corresponding flysheet seams to pin system
Tighten all the tensions straps at the base of the poles.
Attach all flysheet pole clips onto poles
Securely peg out the rear corners of the tent
Pull the tent forward until taut and peg out the main corners at the other
end of the tent using the V pegs
Insert the fibreglass poles into the front and rear pole sleeves and locate
the ends onto the pins on the steel pole
Attach all flysheet pole clips onto poles
Peg out the remaining poles and pegging points using pin pegs at the
base of poles
The groundsheet should be flat and wrinkle free
Peg out ALL guy lines using pin-pegs ensuring that guy line fabric attachment points are evenly tensioned.
PRE-ATTACHED SUN CANOPY:
Vango awnings are designed for use in lowland, sheltered campsites. Do not pitch in high winds or exposed campsites
To erect the pre-attached canopy, insert the pole into the sleeve, connect to Ring and Pin system, tighten the tension straps and attach pole clips to pole.
Pull canopy away from tent until roof of canopy is taut
Pull porch taut, away from main body of tent and peg down the corners of the porch through the shock-cord pegging points using pin-pegs
To roll away the pre-attached canopy, roll it away along the top until the guylines and webbing are rolled away neatly, flip the already rolled section to the
underside of the canopy and continue rolling
Secure with the toggles provided
INNER ATTACHMENT:
For flexible inner attachment:
Locate the buckle on the top of the inner and clip it into the corresponding buckle on the webbing strap hanging
from the centre of the roof
Then attach using the toggles at the sides and rear of the tent
RING & PIN SYSTEM:
Locate one end of pole onto the corresponding metal pin (figure 1)
Peg the corners of the tent through the metal rings using pin-pegs (figure 2)
Pegs should be positioned at a 45 degree angle to ensure maximum grip

MIT AUßENZELTAUFBAU ZUERST:
Fixieren Sie die Stangenhüllen am Überdach und setzen Sie die Stangen ein. Die Stangen und Stangenhüllen sind farblich gekennzeichnet.
Außenzelt auslegen und korrekt ausrichten.
Setzen Sie die Stahlstangen durch die Stangenhüllen außen am Überdach ein und verbinden Sie sie am Dach mit dem dreieckigen Verbindungsstück
Auf beiden Seiten des Zelts: Befestigen Sie die Enden aller Stangen im zugehörigen Ring- & Stift-System.
Achten Sie darauf, dass die Stangen in das korrekte Stift-System eingesteckt werden; alle Stangen verlaufen an den zugehörigen Außenzeltnähten entlang
zum Stift-System.
Alle Spanngurte unten an den Stangen fest anziehen.
Befestigen Sie alle Außenzelt-Halterungsklemmen an den Stangen.
Stecken Sie die hinteren Ecken des Zelts fest aus.
Zelt bis zur Straffung nach vorn ziehen und die Hauptecken auf der anderen Seite des Zelts mithilfe der V-Heringe feststecken.
Setzen Sie die Fiberglasstangen in die vorderen und hinteren Stangenhüllen ein und fixieren Sie die Enden auf den Steckstiften der Stahlstange
Befestigen Sie alle Außenzelt-Halterungsklemmen an den Stangen.
Übrige Stangen und Verankerungspunkte mithilfe der Stiftheringe unten an den Stangen fixieren.
Die Bodenplane sollte glatt und knitterfrei sein.
ALLE Abspannleinen mit Stiftheringen fixieren, wobei darauf zu achten ist, dass die Befestigungspunkte der Abspannleinen an der Plane gleichmäßig
festgezogen sind.
VORBEFESTIGTES SONNENDACH:
Vango Vorzelte werden konzipiert, um auf tiefliegenden, geschützten Campingplätzen verwendet zu werden. Stellen Sie sie nicht in starkem Wind oder auf
ungeschützten Campingplätzen auf.
Um das vorbefestigte Vordach aufzustellen, setzen Sie die Stange in die Hülle ein, verbinden Sie sie mit dem Ring-und-Stift-System, straffen Sie die
Spannungsbänder und befestigen Sie die Stangenclips an der Stange.
Ziehen Sie das Vordach vom Zelt weg bis das Dach des Vordachs gespannt ist
Ziehen Sie den Vorbau straff und vom Hauptzelt weg und fixieren Sie die Ecken des Vorbaus durch die mit Gummizug ausgestatteten Befestigungspunkte mit
Stiftheringen.
Um das vorbefestigte Vordach einzurollen, rollen Sie es entlang des Daches ein, bis die Spannschnüre und Verschlussbänder ordentlich eingerollt sind,
drehen Sie den schon eingerollten Teil auf die Unterseite des Vordachs und rollen Sie weiter ein
Mit den enthaltenen Schnüren befestigen
INNENBEFESTIGUNG:
Zur federnden Befestigung im Innern:
Fixieren Sie die Spange an der Oberseite des Inneren und klippen Sie sie in die dazu passende Spange am Verschlussband, das von der Mitte des Dachs
herunterhängt
Befestigen Sie sie dann mit Hilfe der Bänder an den Seiten und der Rückwand des Zelts
RING-UND-STIFT-SYSTEM:
Fixieren Sie ein Ende der Vorbaustange am dazu passenden Metallstift
Stecken Sie die Ecken des Zelts durch die Metallringe, indem Sie die Arretierstifte benutzen.
Die Heringe sollten in einem Winkel von 45 Grad platziert werden, um maximalen Halt zu erzielen.

Can I store my tent when it's wet? Verified

Only for very short periods of time. When a tent is stored while wet for a week or longer, it can get moldy. This is harmful for your tent and possibly your health.

How do I impregnate a tent? Verified

Pitch the tent, clean the cloth and let it dry. Apply the impregnation agent on the cloth with a plant sprayer or other spray. It is also possible to use a paint roller or brush. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent. Also treat the inside of the tent. Thoroughly clean any windows with a moist cloth. Do not let the impregnation agent dry on it. Let the tent cloth fully dry. Repeat the treatment if needed.

Can I repair a tear or hole in the canvas of my tent myself? Verified

There are special pieces of self-adhesive patches of cloth available for synthetic tent canvases. Stick one of these patches on both sides of the hole or tear. For cotton tent canvases or mixed material tent canvases it's best to use patches that can be ironed on. This will require an iron.

When a zipper is running smoothly, use a dry PTFE spray or silicone spray. Do not spray onto the cloth and preventively spray to prevent future problems.

On grassland or forest surfaces you can use semi circular or plastic pegs. On rocky surfaces you need to use rock pegs. On clay surfaces you can use semi circular, plastic or universal pegs. On gravel surfaces you need semi circular or universal pegs and on sand you need to use wooden pegs.

The impregnation agent leaves white stains or a white haze on the tent cloth, what can I do about this? Verified

If the agent leaves a white haze or white stains on the tent cloth, this means you have applied more impregnation agent on those areas. This is not harmful and the stains often disappear over time. It is not advisable to use less impregnation agent to prevent stains. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent to give good results.
