AND INSTALLATION
Read these instructions carefully before installation
and use.

CAUTION
Before use, the appliance must
be fitted and properly installed by
a qualified electrician.
Important: In order to guarantee
additional protection, it is
recommended that a differential
breaker with an intervention
current not greater than 30 mA
is installed in the electrical
system which feeds the device.
For further information, contact
a qualified electrician.
Make sure the electrical system
is fitted with a device which
guarantees omnipolar
disconnection from the electricity
mains under category III
overvoltage conditions.
Make sure the unit is perfectly
dry before using it.
WARNING: Do not use
this appliance near
bathtubs, showers,
basins or other vessels
containing water.
This appliance can be used by
children from 8 years of age and
over, and by persons with limited
physical, sensory or mental
abilities or who lack the relevant
experience and knowledge, if
they are suitably supervised or
have been educated to use the
English
appliance safely and made
aware of the associated risks.
Do not allow children to play with
the appliance.
Children must not perform
cleaning and maintenance
procedures unless supervised.
• Only connect the appliance to an
alternate current power supply,
and make sure that the mains
voltage corresponds to the one
indicated on the appliance.
Make sure that the air inlet grills
at the bottom of the appliance
are never obstructed.
Do not use your unit if it is not
working properly. Do not try to
repair this electrical unit yourself,
rather contact an authorized
technician. If the supply cord is
damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer, its service
agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
The elements used to pack the
appliance (plastic bags,
cardboard box, etc…) must not
be left within reach of small
children, as they are a potential
source of danger.
This appliance must only be
used for the purposes for which
it has been specifically designed:
to dry the hands. Any other use
is to be considered improper and
therefore dangerous. The
manufacturer will not be
considered liable for any damage
deriving from improper or
incorrect use of the appliance.

IMPORTANT
This appliance complies with safety requirements for electrical
equipment.
This hand drier is fitted with a safety thermostat. It will stop
automatically if it overheats. After a short time it will start up
again.
Before use, make sure that the appliance air inlet grills and
the screen protecting the activating sensors are perfectly
clean.
The manufacturer will not be considered liable for any damage
to persons or property deriving from failure to comply with the
above recommendations, or improper use of the hand dryer.
This appliance conforms to European Directives 2004/108/EC,
2006/95/EC, 2009/125/EC and Regulation (EC) No.
1275/2008.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
To start the hand dryer, place your hands under the mouth,
just a few centimetres from the air outlet. The appliance will
turn off automatically when you remove your hands. This
hand dryer is fitted with an automatic device that turns it off
after approximately 2 minutes continuous operation. If this
happens, the appliance can be reactivated by removing your
hands from under the air outlet for a few seconds.
Cleaning and maintenance
Plastic components must be cleaned using a damped cloth.
WARNING: do not use abrasive products or chemical
detergents.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLATION
WARNING: this operation must be carried out by a qualified
technician.
Check that the local power supply corresponds with the one
indicated on the rating plate.
The power supply network to which the appliance is connected
must be fitted with a omnipolarebeli switch.
The appliance is destined for assembly and installation on a
wall only (vertical). The correct direction of installation is with
the air outletfacing downwards.
Before fitting, check that the appliance will not operate
continually due to the presence of reflective surfaces in the
vicinity that might interfere with the activating sensors (fig.
5).
This hand dryer is an approved product with protection degree
IP23 (EN60529). For installation specifications, please refer to
national regulations on the use and installation of appliances
with IP23 protection from splashing. If the power cable with
plug fitted to the appliance is used, the power socket to which
it is connected must be out of reach of possible water
splashes.
Mounting sequence
1. After establishing the position in which the appliance is to
be installed, drill 3 holes Ø 6 mm in the wall as shown in fig.
1.
2. Dismantle the “T” bracket from the back of the appliance,
as shown in figure 2.
3. Fix the “T” bracket to the wall using the screws and plugs
provided (fig. 3).
4. Hang the appliance on the “T” bracket and fix it at the
bottom using the screw provided (fig. 4).
GUARANTEE
VALERA guarantees the appliance you have bought at
following conditions:
1.The guarantee conditions for this appliance are as defined
by our dealer in the country of sale. In Switzerland and in the
countries subject to the European directive 44/99/CE the
guarantee period is 24 months for domestic use and 12
months for professional or similar use. The guarantee period
starts from the date of purchase as stated on the present
guarantee card regularly filled out and stamped by the dealer
or on the sale’s invoice.
2.The guarantee is applicable only against submission of the
present guarantee card or the sale’s invoice.
3.The guarantee covers the elimination of all defects arisen
during the guarantee period resulting from proven faults in
material or workmanship. The elimination of the defects will
be made either by repairing the appliance or exchanging it.
The guarantee does not cover any damage arising from
incorrect connection to the power supply, improper use,
breakage, normal wear and non-compliance with the
Instructions for Use.
4.All other claims of any nature, including those for eventual
damages outside of the appliance, are excluded, unless our
liability is legally mandatory.
5.The guarantee service is carried out free of charge; it does
not affect the expiry date of the guarantee.
6.The guarantee becomes void if repairs are under-taken by
unauthorized persons.
For UK only: this guarantee in no way affects your rights under
statutory law.
In case of defect, please return the appliance well packed and
together with the guarantee card regularly dated and stamped
to one of our Valera Service Centres or to the dealer who will
send it to the official importer for the guarantee service.
