We have your model 3831 kitchen scale which hasn’t been used in a while. When my wife went to use it the display started flashing and I can’t get it to stop. Took out battery for a bit didn’t help. Tried pushing and pushing and holding both buttons. Nothing worked. Any suggestions. Don’t want to spend money on a new battery unless that is the problem.

Have had the scale for a couple of years. Pulled it out of the cabinet to use it and it won't work properly. I pushed the tare button and device shows 18:88,8 as it should but it never goes to 0.0. The 18:88,8 just continues flashing. I removed the battery to see if maybe it would reset whatever was causing the issue. But that didn't work either. Any idea if I can fix it?

I;m sitting here with the same scale blinking constantly. I found the solution. Don't buy a Taylor scale as a replacement. Worked great for me. Let me know if you have any further questions.

I have one of the scales model 3831 but can't get it to weigh anything. I have installed a new battery, and when I try to weigh something it stays at 0. What can cause this and how can it be remedied?

I’ve used it only a few times. Always stored in the box as received. Today it reads 88:8:88 constantly. On off doesn’t work. I removed the battery to see if it would reset. Still the same. Doesn’t shut off. Doesn’t work.
