Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can weaken

the fabric of the tent.

To avoid the risk of UV deterioration, site the tent in

a shaded area, where it will be protected from

exposure to strong sunlight.

Moisture collecting on the inside of the tent’s fabric

is condensation caused by the occupier. It is NOT a

sign of leakage.

Note that damage caused by condensation, is NOT

covered by the manufacturer’s warranty.

This tent has all its main seams hot air taped to help

prevent leakage.

The remaining seams should be treated with a seam

sealant to maximize the tent’s weatherproofing.

Seam sealant should also be applied to main seams

here the tape has lost adhesion or has been

damaged (tie points or suspension points for

example).

Seam sealant is available from your SunnCamp

stockist.

To dismantle the tent, simply reverse the erection

procedure.

All poles must be dismantled and the tent should be

carefully rolled prior to placing back in the carry-

bag. Please refer to ‘Storing’ for further information.

AURA 400

Your Aura tent consists of the following items and

you should check everything is present before

setting off.

It is a requirement of the warranty that you unpack

and erect this tent at home prior to proper use.

This will enable you to familiarise yourself with the

tent and check all parts are present and in good

condition.

If you find a part missing or a fault with your tent,

contact your SunnCamp stockist for advice.

Choose a location where the ground is flat, smooth

and dry. Attempt to position the tent entrance away

from the direction of any wind. Do not position on

sharp, rocky or rough ground.

Before erecting this tent, carefully read and understand these instructions. If there is anything you do not

understand, contact your retailer for advice.

By following the instructions on erecting, dismantling, packing and storing the tent you will enjoy many

WARRANTY

This product is covered by a 12 month warranty. The Company undertakes to replace or repair, free of charge, any

defect which the Company considers to be due to faulty workmanship or material within 12 months of the purchase

date, except for:

• Defects arising from neglect, misuse or unauthorised modifications.

• Damage caused by storm, high winds, abuse, misuse, dropping or other similar damage caused by or as a result of

failure to follow storage or erection instructions.

• Unauthorised alterations, additions or repairs.

• Transportation or shipment costs to and from the Manufacturer or their recognised agents, for repair or assessment

against a warranty claim.

• Damage caused due to UV degradation.

• Materials and/or labour costs to renew, repair or replace components damaged by fair wear and tear or

condensation.

• Awnings used on permanent sites or displays.

THIS DOES NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS.

The Manufacturer and/or their recognised agents, directors, employees or insurers will not be held liable for

consequential or other damages, losses or expenses in connection with or by reason of or the inability to use the

awning for any purpose.

NOTE; Any claim(s) arising due to missing parts or faulty goods MUST be made before use. The manufacturer will not

be responsible for any claims regarding missing parts or faulty items where the product has not been checked by the

user prior to use.

Can I store my tent when it's wet? Verified

Only for very short periods of time. When a tent is stored while wet for a week or longer, it can get moldy. This is harmful for your tent and possibly your health.

How do I impregnate a tent? Verified

Pitch the tent, clean the cloth and let it dry. Apply the impregnation agent on the cloth with a plant sprayer or other spray. It is also possible to use a paint roller or brush. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent. Also treat the inside of the tent. Thoroughly clean any windows with a moist cloth. Do not let the impregnation agent dry on it. Let the tent cloth fully dry. Repeat the treatment if needed.

Can I repair a tear or hole in the canvas of my tent myself? Verified

There are special pieces of self-adhesive patches of cloth available for synthetic tent canvases. Stick one of these patches on both sides of the hole or tear. For cotton tent canvases or mixed material tent canvases it's best to use patches that can be ironed on. This will require an iron.

The zipper of my tent won't run smoothly, what can I do? Verified

When a zipper is running smoothly, use a dry PTFE spray or silicone spray. Do not spray onto the cloth and preventively spray to prevent future problems.

There are water drops on the inside of the tent, does this mean it is leaking? Verified

No, this is probably condensation. Make sure the tent is properly ventilated to keep condensation at a minimum.

What tent pegs are best to use for which surfaces? Verified

On grassland or forest surfaces you can use semi circular or plastic pegs. On rocky surfaces you need to use rock pegs. On clay surfaces you can use semi circular, plastic or universal pegs. On gravel surfaces you need semi circular or universal pegs and on sand you need to use wooden pegs.

The impregnation agent leaves white stains or a white haze on the tent cloth, what can I do about this? Verified

If the agent leaves a white haze or white stains on the tent cloth, this means you have applied more impregnation agent on those areas. This is not harmful and the stains often disappear over time. It is not advisable to use less impregnation agent to prevent stains. The cloth needs to be fully saturated with the impregnation agent to give good results.
