Spool cover cap wore away easily and could not locate a replacement in store where we bought it (Leroy Merlin in Loule, Portugal). Managed to locate alternative and fitted them. Then the plastic spool housing broke. Cannot see how or even if the spool housing can be replaced. Since this is the part that it most likely to wear out due to contact with weeds and rocks, having a robust spool housing which can easily be replaced will be a necessary feature on the next strimmer I buy. Can I use any generic cord.? I have to keep manually feeding the cord, it thought it was automatic of I gave the spool head a bump. Sorry but I'm an 76 year old woman who is not very mechanically adapt and live in a rural area and depend on the internet!
