FINAL FANTASY

IX. The in-game help provides all

the information you need to play the game. While in

the Menu Screen, press the SELECT button, and a

moogle named Mogster will appear and explain

everything you need to know. This same method can

be used to explore all of the menus and options.

During battle, pressing the SELECT button will show help on each of the commands. So why do you

need this manual? Because it has hints and other useful information that will help you enjoy FINAL

FANTASY IX to the fullest—sort of like a mini-strategy guide. Refer to this manual before starting and

while you play. Enjoy the game!

GAME CONSOLE.

A very small percentage of individuals may experience epileptic seizures when exposed to certain

Do not connect your PlayStation game console to a projection TV without first consulting the user

manual for your projection TV, unless it is of the LCD type. Otherwise, it may permanently damage

your TV screen.

The use of unofficial products and peripherals may damage your PlayStation game console and

invalidate your console warranty.

HANDLING YOUR PLAYSTATION DISC:

• This compact disc is intended for use only with the PlayStation game console.

• Do not bend it, crush it, or submerge it in liquids.

• Do not leave it in direct sunlight or near a radiator or other source of heat.

• Be sure to take an occasional break during extended play.

• Keep this compact disc clean. Always hold the disc by the edges and keep it in its protective

case when not in use. Clean the disc with a lint-free, soft, dry cloth, wiping in straight lines

from center to outer edge. Never use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

Can I repair scratches on a game disc myself? Verified

Scratches prevent de laser from reading the disc correctly. When the scratches are only superficial it is possible to repair them yourself by polishing the disc with a slightly abrasive compound. Ideally you use a professional abrasive compound but it’s also possible to use regular toothpaste. After polishing the disc it needs to be washed and let to dry.
