Intended Use

Carefully read this manual before using this appliance.
• Ensure that you know how the appliance functions and how to operate it.
• Maintain the appliance in accordance with the instructions to ensure that it functions
properly.
• Keep this manual with the appliance. If the appliance is to be used by a third party, this
instruction manual must be supplied with it.
• The safety instructions do not by themselves eliminate any danger and proper accident
prevention measures must always be used.
• No liability can be accepted for any damage caused by non-compliance with these
instructions or any other improper use or mishandling.
Do not use this appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way, or if the supply
cord is damaged.
• Intended Purpose: Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended
purpose, and only use it as described in this manual.
• Accessories: Do not use any accessories with the appliance that are not supplied or
specifically recommended.
• This appliance is designed exclusively for indoor private, and domestic use and is not
suitable for commercial or industrial use. Do not use it outdoors. Do not use it in moving
vehicles or boats.
This appliance is double insulated for your protection. Do not attempt to repair a double-insulated
appliance
Supply Cord and Plug
Use and Environment
Always unplug from the mains supply when not in use. Do not abuse or damage the
power cord. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its
service agent, or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
Do not let the supply cord touch hot surfaces.
When cleaning or putting the appliance away, switch off the appliance and always pull
out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable)
The socket outlet must be accessible at all times to enable the mains plug to be
disconnected as quickly as possible!
Never bend the mains lead and never wind it around the appliance as this may lead to
cable breakages. Risk of electrocution!
• Do not operate the device in an environment where there is a risk of explosion. Do not
operate or set up the device in an atmosphere containing sulphur, chlorine, salt or oil.
• Ensure that the device is placed on a flat, stable, slip-free and dry surface. Do not
place the device directly against a wall or underneath a wall cupboard or similar.
Supervision
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance by
a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Damaged or Dropped
Cleaning
Water
Always inspect your appliance before use. Check parts are correctly attached. Do not
use this appliance if it has been damaged, dropped, left outdoors or dropped in water.
Return it to an authorised service dealer for examination and repair.
Do not immerse the appliance or its supply cord in water. Do not use with wet hands or
use in damp situations.
Do not immerse or expose the unit to rain, moisture or any other liquid.
If the appliance does fall into water, first remove the plug from the mains socket before
lifting the appliance out of the water! Do not turn the appliance on again until it has been
checked at an approved service point.
The same applies if the mains lead or appliance is damaged, or if the appliance has
fallen on the floor. Risk of electrocution!
The device needs sufficient clearance.
• Do not cover the device while it is operating. Ensure that there is sufficient clearance and
that a safe distance to walls, ceilings and other objects are kept.
• Leave at least 30cm of space on the back and sides of the appliance and at least 50cm of
space above the product when in use.
• The air intake and outlet openings must never be covered or blocked. Clean the ventilation
slots regularly to keep them free of dirt and prevent the openings from clogging.
• Ensure both the filter and its cover are properly fitted before use.
• Do not use the device in bathrooms or similar.
• Do not introduce objects into the air intake or air outlet openings of the device.
Ensure that no loose objects such as curtains, net curtains, long hair, ties etc. can get into
the ventilation slots – these could be sucked in by the air flow.
• Only transport the device in an upright position. Before transporting the device, the
condensation tank MUST be emptied. Use the carry handle when you transport the device.
Do not place any objects on the device.
• Avoid the use of an extension cord as this may overheat and cause a risk of fire.
• Use only original accessories. The use of non-original accessories normally involves an
increased risk of accidents. If the device is fitted with non-original accessories,

• Do not run cord under carpeting and do not cover cord with throw rugs, runners or the like.
Arrange cord away from traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
Turn off and unplug the appliance when not in use and before cleaning or maintenance.
Do not try to clean the inner part of the air inlet or outlet with a sharp object.
Never use abrasive cleaning products on this appliance. Clean with a damp cloth (not
wet) and rinsed in hot soapy water only. Always remove the plug from the mains supply
before cleaning. Do not pierce or burn, even when disposed of.
Do not spray the dehumidifier with water, pesticide or flammable liquid.
Do not use Dehumidifier in any other orientation other than upright as shown in this
manual.
This product can not replace normal ventilation, daily dust collection or oils extraction
when cooking.
When using electric appliances always observe safety regulations where applicable to
reduce the risk of fire, electric shock and personal injury.
Always check that the power supply corresponds to the voltage on the rating plate.
