GB > INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Your Salter Scale is a quality item which for best results should be used in the
following way:
1. Use on a firm flat surface.
2. Set scale to zero using the serrated wheel.
3. Always weigh at the same time each day, without clothes or any footwear.
4. Stand as still as possible with feet evenly spaced on the scale.
5. To clean, only use a damp cloth. NEVER use chemicals or abrasives.
6. For maximum durability, keep scale dry and avoid direct heat or sunlight.
GUARANTEE
This product is intended for domestic use only. Salter will repair or replace the
product, or any part of this product, free of charge if within 15 years of the date
of purchase, it can be shown to have failed through defective workmanship or
materials. This guarantee covers working parts that aect the function of the scale.
It does not cover cosmetic deterioration caused by fair wear and tear or damage
caused by accident or misuse. Opening or taking apart the scale or its components
will void the guarantee. Claims under guarantee must be supported by proof of
purchase and be returned carriage paid to Salter (or local Salter appointed agent if
outside the UK). Care should be taken in packing the scale so that it is not damaged
while in transit. This undertaking is in addition to a consumer’s statutory rights and

Votre pèse-personne Salter est un produit de qualité qui vous donnera de meilleurs

5. Pour le nettoyer, utilisez un chion humide. N’UTILISEZ JAMAIS de produits
chimiques ou abrasifs.
6. Pour une durabilité maximum, garder la balance dans un endroit sec et éviter les
sources de lumiêre ou de chaleur directes.
GARANTIE
Ce produit est uniquement destiné à un usage domestique. Salter s’engage à
réparer ou remplacer gratuitement le produit, ou toute pièce de ce produit, dans
les 15 ans suivant la date d’achat s’il est prouvé que la défaillance provient d’une
mauvaise qualité de fabrication ou de matériaux défectueux. Cette garantie couvre
les parties mobiles qui aectent le fonctionnement de l’appareil. Elle ne couvre
pas toute détérioration esthétique provoquée par l’usure normale ou tout dommage
provoqué par accident ou une mauvaise utilisation. Le fait d’ouvrir ou de démonter
l’appareil ou ses composants annulera la garantie. Les retours sous garantie doivent
être accompagnés du justificatif d’achat et expédiés en port payé à Salter (ou à un
agent Salter agréé local, si en dehors du R.-U.) Il est conseillé de bien emballer
l’appareil afin de ne pas l’endommager durant le transport. Cet engagement vient en
complément des droits statutaires du consommateur et n’aecte ces droits en aucun

Ihre Salter-Waage ist ein Qualitätsprodukt und um gute Ergebnisse zu erzielen, sollte
sie folgendermaßen benutzt werden.
1. Auf einem flachen, festen Boden benutzen.
2. Stellen Sie den Zieger mit dem Einstellrad auf Null.
3. Jeden Tag zur gleichen Zeit wiegen, ohne Kleider und barfuß.
4. So ruhig ie möglich auf der Waage stehen; die Füße sollten auf jeder Seite der
Waage gleichen Abstand haben.
5. Nur mit feuchtem Tuch reinigen. Chemische Reinigungs – oder Scheuermittel
dürfen AUF KEINEN FALL angewendet werden.
6. Damit sie möglichst lange hält, die Waage trocken aufbewahren und vor direkter
Hitze und Sonnenlicht schützen.
GUARANTIE
Dieses Produkt ist lediglich für den privaten Gebrauch vorgesehen. Salter wird
dieses Produkt bzw. einzelne Teile dieses Produkts für eine Zeitdauer von 15 Jahren
ab Kaufdatum kostenlos reparieren oder ersetzen, wenn sich Defekte auf Material-
oder Fabrikationsfehler zurückführen lassen. Diese Garantie deckt Arbeitsteile, die
sich auf die Funktion der Waage auswirken. Ausgeschlossen von dieser Garantie
sind kosmetische Makel, die sich auf übliche Abnutzung zurückführen lassen,
sowie durch Missgeschicke oder Missbrauch verursachte Beschädigungen. Beim
Önen oder Zerlegen der Waage oder einzelner Komponenten erlischt die Garantie.
Garantieansprüche sind nur mit Kaufbeleg möglich. Die Waage in dem Fall bitte an
Salter (oder außerhalb Großbritanniens an einen Salter Fachhändler in Ihrer Nähe)
schicken (Fracht bezahlt). Die Waage muss so verpackt werden, dass sie während
des Transports nicht beschädigt werden kann. Ihre gesetzlichen Rechte werden durch

Su balanza Salter es un proucto de calidad, con el que se obtendràn los mejores
resultados posibles, si se utiliza de la manera siguiente:
1. Colocor la balanza sobre una superficie firme y lisa.
2. Ajuster la balanza sobre a cero utilizando la rueda estriada.
3. Pésese todos los dias a la misma hora, sin vestidos ni calzado.
4. Colóquese sobre la balanza con los pies espaciados por igual y procurando
moverse lo menos posible.
5. Limpiar utilizando solamente un paño húmedo EVITESE el empleo de productos
quimicos o abrasivos.
6. Para una máxima duración, mantener la balanza seca y evitar calefacción o luz
solar directa.
GARANTIA
Este artículo está concebido para uso doméstico solamente. Salter se hará cargo de
la reparación de este artículo, o cualquier parte del mismo, sin coste alguno si dentro
del período de 15 años de la fecha de compra se puede demostrar que no funciona
debido a mano de obra o materiales defectuosos. Esta garantía cubre las piezas que
afecten al funcionamiento de la balanza. No cubre el deterioro cosmético causado
por el uso y desgaste natural o daños causados por accidente o mal uso. Abrir o
desarmar la balanza o sus componentes anulará la garantía. Las reclamaciones
dentro de la garantía deben ir acompañadas por el recibo de compra y enviar por
correo pagado a Salter (o al agente local de Salter si es fuera del Reino Unido). Se
deberá tener cuidado al empaquetar la balanza para que no sufra daños en tránsito.
Esta garantía es adicional a los derechos estatutarios del consumidor y no afecta a

Ja, the device can still be safely used. Firstly, remove the oxidizd battery. Never use bare hands to do this. Then clean the battery compartment with a cotton swab dipped in vinegar or lemon juice. Let it dry and insert new batteries.
