Question: The tumble dryer has power to the control panel but when i switch the mode switch and set the dryer to work i hear a noise as if the machine wants to start but it cant. what is the cause please.

The control panel works but when I press to start tumble dryer it makes a humming noise don’t want to spin. What can the problem be please
