[USER MANUAL] Using the clinical thermometer:

1. Press the button to switch the thermometer on.

2. A short beep will be heard and all symbols will be displayed for one second.

3. The last measurement result that was registered is shown on the display for two

seconds.

4. “L” or “H” is shown on the display and the °C symbol flashes, which indicates that the

thermometer is ready for use. (L or H is shown, depending on ambient temperature.)

5. Choose the way you want to do the measurement, oral, armpit or rectal.

6. When the C symbol has stopped flashing, it will beep. Measurement is now finished.

7. If the measured temperature exceeds 37.5°C, the fever alarm will give four short beeps

within 4 seconds. If the temperature is below 37.5°C, there will be one long beep.

8. Keep the button depressed for 3 seconds to switch the thermometer off. The

thermometer is automatically switched off after 9 minutes to save electricity.

TIP:

Check your normal temperature in the morning, when you are in good health. Then

use this measurement value as a reference value for your normal temperature. Avoid

eating or drinking, showering or smoking for at least 15 minutes before doing the check

measurement. Always measure the same part of your body.

Oral measurement:

1. Clean the thermometer with alcohol or soap solution before use.

2. Put the narrow side under your tongue.

3. Your mouth must be closed while you are doing the temperature measurement.

4. Do not bite the thermometer.

5. A beep will be heard, and the measurement result will then be ready to be read from

the display.

Armpit measurement:

1. Clean the thermometer with alcohol or soap solution before use.

2. Put the narrow side in your armpit.

3. Make sure that your skin is in contact with the thermometer.

4. Keep your arm against your body during measurement.

5. A beep will be heard, and the measurement result will then be ready to be read from

the display.

Rectal measurement:

Rectal measurement is recommended for children.

1. Clean the thermometer with alcohol or soap solution before use.

2. Insert the thermometer into the rectum, but not further than 10-15 mm (3/8” – 5/8”)

3. Ask the subject to lie down or stand up during measurement.

4. A beep will be heard, and the measurement result will then be ready to be read from

the display.

Changing the battery:

When the low battery symbol “ ” is shown in the lower right-hand corner of the display,

change the battery and install a new one (1x LR41, 1.55 Volt). A new battery normally lasts

about two years.

1. Remove the battery cover by pulling it straight out.

2. Remove the used battery. Do not use any kind of metal implement.

3. Do not re-charge the battery. This can be dangerous.

4. Install the new battery with the “+” side upwards.

5. Re-install the battery cover.

6. Dispose of used batteries at recommended collection facilities. Keep the battery out of

the reach of children.

thermometers (direct indication and calculating) with maximum function.

[BRUKSANVISNING] Användning av febertermometer:

1. Tryck på knappen för att sätta på termometern.

2. Ett kort pip ljuder och samtliga symboler visas i displayen i en sekund.

3. Senaste registrerade mätresultatet visas i displayen i två sekunder.

4. ”L” eller ”H” visas i displayen och °C symbolen blinkar, vilket indikerar att termometern

är klar att användas. (L eller H visas beroende på omgivande temperatur).

5. Välj på vilket sätt du vill mäta; munnen, armhålan eller rektalt.

6. När symbolen C slutat att blinka piper det. Mätningen är klar.

7. Skulle uppmätt temperatur överstiga 37.5°C piper feberlarmet med snabba korta pip i 4

sekunder, vid temperatur under 37.5 °C ljuder långsamma pip.

8. Håll knappen intryckt i 3 sekunder för att stänga av termometern. För att spara ström

stängs termometern automatiskt av efter 9 minuter.

TIPS:

Kontrollera er normala temperatur på morgonen när ni är frisk. Använd sedan detta

mätvärde som referensvärde för er normaltemperatur. Undvik att äta eller dricka, träna,

duscha eller röka i minst 15 minuter före kontrollmätning. Mät alltid på samma ställe på

kroppen.

Mäta i munnen:

1. Rengör termometer före användning med alkohol eller tvållösning.

2. Placera den smala sidan under tungan.

3. Munnen skall vara stängd under temperaturmätningen.

4. Bit ej på termometern.

5. Ett pip hörs och mätresultatet är klart att avläsas i displayen.

Mäta i armhålan:

1. Rengör termometer före användning med alkohol eller tvållösning.

2. Placera den smala sidan i armhålan.

3. Säkerställ att huden ligger an mot termometern.

4. Håll armen mot kroppen under mätningen.

5. Ett pip hörs och mätresultatet är klart att avläsas i displayen.

Mäta i rektum:

Att mäta i rektum rekommenderas på barn.

1. Rengör termometer före användning med alkohol eller tvållösning.

2. För in termometern i rektum, ej längre in än 1-1,5 cm.

3. Ligg eller stå under hela mätningen.

4. Ett pip hörs och mätresultatet är klart att avläsas i displayen

5. Rengör termometer efter användning med alkohol eller tvållösning.

Byte av batteri:

När symbolen för låg batterinivå ” ” visas i nedre högra hörnet på displayen, bör

batteriet ersättas med ett nytt (1x LR41, 1.55 Volt). Nytt batteri varar normalt i cirka två år.

1. Ta bort batteriluckan genom att dra den rakt ut.

2. Ta bort det använda batteriet. Använd ej något av metall.

3. Ladda inte batteriet, detta kan medföra fara.

4. Sätt in det nya batteriet med ”+”-sidan uppåt.

5. Sätt tillbaka batteriluckan.

6. Lägg använda batterier på anvisade uppsamlingsplatser. Håll batteriet utom räckhåll för

små barn.
