1 Unwind speaker wire,
then fit the wire back
into the groove of the
speaker base.
2 Twist and pull off the vinyl tip.

Connect the speakers.
When the unit is on and powered by the battery
pack
Press [DISPLAY].
The battery display appears on the LCD for a
few seconds to show the approximate remaining
charge.
(Appears automatically when there is f
a few minutes of charge remaining.) ----------}
Press [RETURN] to clear the on-screen menu
icons.
If the unit is not to be used for a
long time
Detach the battery pack. (Even if the unit is off,
it still uses some power. This can drain the
battery completely and lead to a malfunction.)
Recharge the battery pack when you are
ready to use it again.

To confirm the battery charge
Preparing the multi cradle and power supply
Household AC outlet
(AC 120 V, 60 Hz)
Fit so unit
clicks firmly
into place.
The unit is in the standby condition (the [Í]
indicator lights) when the AC power supply
cord is connected. The primary circuit is
always “live” as long as the AC adaptor is
connected to an electrical outlet.
Charge the battery pack before using it for the
first time.
Use together with the optional battery pack
( page 14) for longer play.
For replacement ( page 4)
To recharge
(When the unit is off)
Attach the unit to the multi cradle ( left).
You can also connect the AC adaptor directly
to the player to recharge the battery.

Make sure built-in battery
is attached.
To conserve power
When the unit is not going to be used for a long
time, disconnect the AC power supply cord from
the AC outlet.
The unit consumes a small amount of power
(approx. 0.9 W, when in the multi cradle) when
in standby mode.
To detach
(When the unit is off)
Pull the lever so the unit lifts off the cradle.

Can I repair scratches on a DVD myself? Verified

Scratches prevent de laser from reading the disc correctly. When the scratches are only superficial it is possible to repair them yourself by polishing the disc with a slightly abrasive compound. Ideally you use a professional abrasive compound but it’s also possible to use regular toothpaste. After polishing the disc it needs to be washed and let to dry. There are specialised businesses that can do this.
