PROPER USE AND CARE
• Do not fire the flash if your subject is closer than the minimum flash
distance stated in the manual.
• Do not subject the camera to shock, extreme heat or high humidity.
• Do not subject the camera to focused sunlight.
• Do not let the camera get wet.
• Do not let the camera come in contact with sand, salt or other grit.
• This camera is designed for use between -10 and 40 °C (14 to 104 °F).
• At colder temperatures, the data panel response time may be slow. At
higher temperatures the display may temporarily darken. It will restore
when the temperature normalizes.
• If the lens becomes dirty, clean it with a lens brush. If necessary,
moisten a sheet of lens tissue with one drop of lens-cleaning fluid and
gently wipe the lens. Never touch the lens surface with your fingers.
• Never use alcohol or chemical solvents on the camera body. If it is dirty,
clean it with a soft, dry cloth.
• When not in use, keep the camera in a cool, dry place away from dust
and chemicals. For extended storage, place the camera in an airtight
container with a drying agent such as silica gel.
• For more information about your camera, contact your local camera
dealer or write to the Minolta distributor in your area.
Batteries may become hot or explode due to improper use.
• Use only the batteries specified in this instruction manual.
• Do not install the batteries with the polarity (+/–) reversed.
• Do not subject batteries to fire or high temperatures.
• Do not attempt to recharge, short, or disassemble.
• Tape over lithium battery contacts before disposal. Follow local codes
for battery disposal.
Keep batteries and other things that could be swallowed away from
young children. Contact a doctor immediately if an object is
swallowed.
The lens retracts when the camera is turned off. Touching the lens
barrel while it is retracting may cause injury.
Immediately remove the batteries and discontinue use if...
• the camera is dropped or subjected to an impact in which the interior
is exposed.
• the product emits a strange smell, heat, or smoke.
Do not disassemble. Electric shock may occur if a high voltage
circuit inside the camera is touched. Take your camera to a Minolta
Service Facility when repairs are required.

ATTENTION

• Si I’objectif devient sale, le nettoyer doucement avec une brosse
soufflante destinée aux objectifs. Si cela est nécessaire, humidifier un
tissu optique avec un produit spécial optique pour l’essuyer doucement.
• Ne jamais utiliser d’alcool ou autres solvants chimiques sur le corps de
l’appareil. Lorsque celui-ci est sale, l’essuyer avec un tissu doux, sec et
propre.
• Lors de sa non utilisation, conserver l’appareil dans un endroit sec et frais
à l’abri de la poussière et des produits chimiques. Si l’appareil n’est pas
utilisé pendant une longue période, il est recommandé de le placer dans
une boîte hermétique avec un agent dessiccatif type silica gel.
• Pour toute question concernant l’appareil, ou pour expédier celui-ci au
Service Après Vente, contracter votre revendeur.

USO CORRECTO Y CUIDADO
• No destelle el flash si su objeto está más cerca de la distancia mínima para el flash
de acuerdo a las instrucciones de este manual.
• No haga sufrir la cámara golpe, mucho calor o mucha humedad.
• No exponga la cámara directamente a los rayos solares. Puede provocar un
incendio si los rayos del sol quedan enfocados sobre un punto.
• No moje nunca la cámara.
• No deje nunca la cámara expuesta a arena, sal, etc.
• Esta cámara ha sido diseñada para funcionar entre -10° y 40°C.
• A bajas temperaturas, el panel de datos tendrá una respuesta más lenta, a
temperaturas altas, se oscurecerá temporalmente pero se solucionará cuando la
temperatura vuelva a la normalidad.
• Para limpiar la superficie del objetivo, cepille primero el polvo o arena, y después, si
fuera necesario, empañe un papel de limpieza de lentes con líquido especial para
cristales y limpie el objetivo. No toque la superficie del objetivo con sus dedos.
• No utilice alcohol o disolventes orgánicos para limpiar la cámara. Si está sucia,
limpie gentilmente con un paño suave y seco.
• Cuando no usa la cámara, guárdela en un lugar fresco y seco, lejos del polvo y
productos químicos. Si no lo usara durante un largo período de tiempo, guarde la
cámara en un recipiente hermético con un agente secante de gel de sílice.
• Si tiene alguna duda sobre su cámara, consulte a su vendedor de cámaras local o
escriba al distribuidor Minolta de su zona.

daher besonders vorsichtig, wenn Sie Ihre Kamera zu Aufnahmen mit an den Strand
nehmen.
• Diese Kamera ist für den Einsatz bei Temperaturen zwischen -10°C und +40°C
vorgesehen.
• Extrem niedrige Temperaturen beeinträchtigen die Funktion. Stecken Sie die Kamera bei
Kälte in eine warme Innentasche. Setzen Sie die Kamera keinem abrupten
Temperaturwechsel aus, da sich innen Kondensfeuchtigkeit bilden und die Funktion
beeinträchtigen kann.
• Staub auf dem Objektiv mit einem Luftpinsel entfernen. Falls nötig, ein Tuch mit einem
Tropfen Objektivreinigungsflüssigkeit anfeuchten und Frontlinse vorsichtig reinigen.
Glasflächen des Objektivs nicht mit den Fingern berühren.
• Verwenden Sie keinen Alkohol und keine anderen chemischen Lösungsmittel zur
Reinigung des Gehäuses. Wenn nötig, kann es mit einem weichen, trockenen Tuch
abgewischt werden.
• Bewahren Sie die Kamera bei Nichtgebrauch an einem kühlen und trockenen Ort, frei von
Chemikalien und Staub auf. Wird die Kamera längere Zeit nicht gebraucht, sollte sie mit
einem feuchtigkeitsentziehenden Mittel wie Silicagel aufbewahrt werden.
• Bei Fragen zur Kamera wenden Sie sich an Ihren Fotohändler. Für detaillierte

CAUTION

• No trate de cargar, cortocircuitar o desarmar.
• Coloque cinta en los contactos de la pila de litio antes de deshacerse de ella.
Cumpla con los reglamentos locales para deshacerse de las pilas.
Tenga cuidado; pueden ocurrir accidentes cuando utilice este producto cerca
de niños pequeños.
Guarde las pilas u objetos que pueda tragar, fuera del alcance de los niños
pequeños. Consulte inmediatamente con un médico si tragara un objeto.
Saque inmediatamente la pila y no siga utilizando si...
• la cámara se cae o recibe un golpe que hace que se rompa y pueda verse el
interior.
• la cámara emita un olor extraño, calor, o humo.
No desarme. Consulte a un Centro de Servicio autorizado de Minolta si
necesita reparar la cámara. Puede sufrir una sacudida eléctrica si toca uno de
los circuitos de alta tensión dentro de la cámara.
PRECAUCION

• Achten Sie beim Einsetzen der Batterien auf richtige Polarität.
• Setzen Sie Batterien niemals Feuer oder hohen Temperaturen aus.
• Versuchen Sie nie, Einwegbatterien aufzuladen, kurzzuschließen oder zu zerlegen.
• Werfen Sie verbrauchte Batterien nur in dafür vorgesehene Sammelbehälter.
Technische Geräte gehören grundsätzlich nicht in Kinderhände. Dies gilt auch für
diese Kamera. Kleine Kinder können Gegenstände verschlucken.
Bewahren Sie daher Zubehörteile und Batterien in sicherer Entfernung von kleinen
Kindern auf.
Der Objektivubus zieht sich in das Gehäuse zurück, wenn die Kamera ausgeschaltet
wird. Blockieren Sie nich den Objekcivtubus, während er sich in das
Kameragehäuse zurückzieht. Störungen im Kameramechanismus könnten die Folge
sein.
Entnehmen Sie bitte sofort die Batterie und benutzen Sie die Kamera nicht weiter,
wenn...
• das Kameragehäuse beschädigt und Wasser in das Innere der Kamera eingedrungen ist,
• die Kamera einen seltsamen Geruch, Hitze oder Rauch ausströmt.
Bei einer technischen Störung niemals selbst das Gehäuse öffnen und die Kamera
demontieren. Bringen Sie die Kamera zu Ihrem Minolta-Service, wenn eine
Reparatur erforderlich ist. Berühren Sie niemals die inneren Schaltkreise der
Kamera; es besteht die Gefahr eines Stromschlags.
HINWEISE
En cas de mauvaise utilisation, les piles peuvent s’échauffer ou
exploser.
• N’utiliser que les piles spécifiées par ce mode d’emploi.
• Ne pas mettre la pileà l’envers.
• Ne pas soumettre la pile à des températures très élevées.
• Ne pas mettre une pile en court-circuit, tenter de la recharger ou de la
démonter.
• Avant de jeter votre pile, nous vous recommandons de l’entourer d’un
ruban adhésif afin de l’isoler. Suivre la règlementation en vigueur pour
la destruction des piles.
Conserver les piles ou les objets pouvant être avalés hors de
portée des enfants. Contacter immédiatement un médecin en cas
d’ingestion.
L’objectif se rétracte si on éteint l’appareil. Ne pas toucher l’objectif
lorsqu’ il se rétracte.
Retirer immédiatement les piles et interrompre l’utilisation si :
• suite à une chute ou à un impact, le mécanisme interne est abîmé.
• le produit diffuse une odeur anormale, chauffe ou fume.
Ne pas démonter. On risque de recevoir une décharge électrique
si l’on touche un circuit interne haute tension. Contacter votre
revendeur pour toute réparation éventuelle.

How can I prevent 'red eyes' in my pictures? Verified
The 'red eye' phenomenon is caused by too much light in too little time getting to eyes of the people in the picture. This effect is even stronger in a dark atmosphere.
