Hello ;) We have a problem with the bottom drawer (supposedly to be drilled in the 2nd hole) but not even the bottom of the first drawer is clear with the distances.

Hi there, how did you solve the problem? Annoying and messing around with it ...

Applies to Platsa cabinet 60X55X180, unfortunately the rear wall cannot be mounted !! Pushing does not work, sits too tight. Laying it on top and inserting it into the groove does not work either because the material is so unstable that it pulls apart in the middle like with O legs. I've got every piece of IKEA furniture up until now, but this is where I put the cards.

After hours of struggle the solution, you have to put the back wall at the very beginning !!! Place in the groove on both sides and simply slide.

Can we cut a piece of furniture that is too big, Plata brand

Also had tantrum. Do not go into the groove! For the first closet, I just cut it through. Of course, I have to put it back together again afterwards. Possibly seal with silicone or acrylic. Better: Before installing, work on the folded back wall with 120 grit emery paper, i.e. sand down the outer edge of the back wall a little, then it cuts off how great.

The part of fixing it to the wall, in point 10, is incomprehensible. It doesn't say how long the screws should be. It is not indicated where to drill the bottom of the cabinet: from the instructions, in fact, it seems that the screws must go exactly where the two knobs of point 8 are. Almost as if they were to be drilled (I doubt). We will eventually come up with an alternative fixation, using leftover pieces from the Billy bookshelves. Bad, anyway ... not to mention the arrow handle screws ...

I bought the Spildra cover plate for my Platsa cabinet, but I don't know how to attach it to the cabinet. The instructions from the cabinet do not mention anything about it and the cover plate is nothing except 4 dowels and 4 pins. Who can help me?

I am sure that by now you have solved your problem. . But I would like to answer anyway, in case others are looking for an answer and come across this post, like me. The attached dowels have a thread that I can screw into the metal counterparts in the body. Then place the cover plate in such a way that the holes in the cover plate overlap the dowels. Now push the attached pins through the small holes from the inside of the body.

It seems very simple, but placing the back wall is a disaster if you have a high cabinet

Look at the shorter sides - 2 plastic screws are not symmetrically set - so the clue is to chose right side.

Same problem here. The back wall cannot be inserted into the milled joints. I have two explanations for this: 1. The joint is too small, which is extremely unlikely. 2. The panels have been stored in a humid climate and the wood has swollen. I will use a dehumidifier and hope that this can solve the problem. IKEA should fix this or communicate accordingly.

Hi there, does anyone know what you need the "SPILDRA cover plate for corpus" for? There are no floors so that you get a kind of "compartment" / shelf. I have just gone through my order list and it is really a mystery to me why I should need the mentioned cover plate 2x in my closet (code: BVL4RP), even though I have not integrated any shelves ... If anyone has an idea, thank you in advance!

I also came across it, they are probably only intended as a visual finish to the UPPER SIDE of the cupboard, so you can easily attach them to the top of the body. Quote IKEA: "Is placed on low basic elements - as a cover plate or to create a practical bench." I first removed them from my order list (were automatically added by the closet planner, but also for the closet combinations over 2m, so no one looks at it from above or sits down ...)

We set up two Platsa combinations last year and did NOT have any of these plates with us. The cabinet stands well and is stable enough. Of course, I don't know whether IKEA has fundamentally changed anything in the material. If it's the same as it was a year ago, it's enough without these extra plates ... We normally have a box on the cupboard ... Maybe you can try it without and buy another record?

Hello, I installed the sliding doors in two Platsa cupboards. Now a door in a cupboard grinds completely, it can only be moved with effort. With the other cupboard everything is OK, so basically I have understood how to install the doors correctly ;-) ... I have already loosened the screws at the top of the door on the dragging door and raised the door as far as possible. Yet she keeps dragging. Did I miss something?

I have assembled the Smastad/Platsa chest of drawers and when it comes to inserting the drawers they get stuck and you have to exert force to insert them. The only one that fits well and smoothly is the bottom one (there are four small drawers and two large ones below). I have looked to see if we have assembled something wrong and no, it seems that the screws collide with the wheels when entering but we cannot tighten the screws any more and they still do not work. Any solution? Thank you
