Bought the STM201M for my wife's birthday. It was impossible to set the alarm/boiling water time; no matter where the alarm pointedrwas set, the kettle boiled immediately. The shop exchanged it for another of the same model. This one would "go off" at random times regardless of whatever time the alarm was set to. Exchanged it again. This third machine works perfectly!

I've had same problem - it just needs descaling (KILROCK_K will do the job). Does need descaling regularly if you're in a hard water area
