What types of mattresses are suited for adjustable slatted bed bases? Verified
Not all mattresses can be used on adjustable slatted bed bases. Most suited are the memory foam mattress, cold foam matress, polyether mattress and latex mattress. Pocket spring mattresses can also be used. Inner spring matresses and air matresses are not suited for use with with adjustable slatted bed bases. All types of mattresses can be used on regular slatted bed bases.

No. It's not possible to put a double mattress on a double bed with an individually slatted bed base, because of the possible height difference between both halves. Each half will need a single mattress. It's also not possible do use a double mattress topper.
