BEDIENUNGSANLEITUNG

HINWEISE

• Bitte vor Gebrauch des Gerätes Bedienungs-

anleitung lesen.

• Gerät nicht in Wasser tauchen – es ist nicht

wasserdicht.

• Die Spitze nicht mit heißem Wasser reinigen,

sie könnte beschädigt werden.

• Die Spitze nach jeder Messung sorgfältig mit

einem trockenen Tuch reinigen und mit Äthyl-

alkohol desinzieren, damit keine falschen

Messergebnisse aufgenommen werden.

• Setzen Sie das BS 31 niemals direktem Son-

nenlicht oder zu großer Hitze aus, das Display

könnte dadurch beschädigt werden.

• Versuchen Sie niemals das Thermometer

gewaltsam zu verbiegen.

• Öffnen Sie das Gerät nur bei einem Batterie-

wechsel.

• Bei rektalen Fiebermessungen darf das Gerät

nur maximal 1,5 cm vorsichtig eingeführt

werden. Verletzungsgefahr!

• Nicht in Reichweite von Kindern oder Tieren

aufbewahren.

Die normale Körpertemperatur liegt zwischen

35,8 °C und 38,0 °C. Sie sollten idealerweise für

sich und Ihre Familienangehörigen eine Tempe-

raturmessung im gesunden Zustand vornehmen

und den gemessenen Wert aufschreiben, um im

Krankheitsfall sofort erkennen zu können, ob die

kranke Person Fieber hat oder nicht.

INBETRIEBNAHME

1. Drücken Sie den Ein/Aus-Schalter. Ein Signal

ertönt.

2. Die LCD-Anzeige zeigt den zuletzt gemessenen

Temperaturwert für ca. 2 Sekunden an.

3. Danach blinkt die Anzeige, um das Gerät für eine

erneute Messung vorzubereiten.

4. Das Gerät ist einsatzbereit, nachdem ein Signal

ertönt und die Anzeige Lo °C dauerhaft im Dis-

play erscheint.

5. Nun kann die Messspitze zum Temperaturmes-

sen oral, unter den Axeln oder rektal eingesetzt

werden.

6. Die Temperaturmessung dauert zwischen 30 und

60 Sekunden. Das Ende der Messung wird durch

einen 10 Sekunden andauernden Signalton

bestätigt.

Signaltöne:

– gemessene Temperatur < 37,8 °C:

10 lange Signaltöne

– gemessene Temperatur ≥ 37,8 °C:

30 kurze Signaltöne

7. Für eine erneute Messung schalten Sie

BS 31 kurz aus und wieder an.

Das Gerät schaltet sich automatisch 10 Minuten

nach der zuletzt getätigten Messung aus. Sie sollten

aber, um die Batterie zu schonen, das Gerät immer

nach Gebrauch mit dem Ein/Aus-Schalter ausschal-

ten.

BATTERIEWECHSEL

Sobald das Batteriesymbol im Display erscheint

oder das Gerät sich nicht mehr einschalten lässt, ist

ein Batteriewechsel erforderlich.

Ziehen Sie dazu die Endkappe des Batteriefachde-

ckels ab.

Nun können Sie die entleerte Batterie entnehmen,

unter Beachtung der richtigen Polarität eine neue

Batterie (LR41/AG3/UCC392/SR41) einsetzen und

die Kappe wieder auf stecken.

ENTSORGUNGSHINWEIS

Altgeräte, die mit dem abgebildeten Symbol

gekennzeichnet sind, dürfen nicht mit dem

Hausmüll entsorgt werden.

PFLEGE UND GEWÄHRLEISTUNG

Trennen Sie das Gerät vor dem Reinigen gegebe-

nenfalls von anderen Komponenten und verwenden

Sie bitte keine aggressiven Reiniger.

Das Gerät wurde einer sorgfältigen Endkontrolle

unterzogen. Sollten Sie trotzdem Grund zu einer

Beanstandung haben, senden Sie uns das Gerät mit

der Kaufquittung ein. Wir bieten eine Gewährleis-

tung von 2 Jahren ab Kaufdatum.

Für Schäden, die durch falsche Handhabung,

unsachgemäße Nutzung oder Verschleiß verursacht

wurden, übernehmen wir keine Haftung.

OPERATING MANUAL

NOTE

• Please read the user guide before using the

unit.

• Do not place the device in water – it is not

waterproof.

• Do not clean the tip with hot water; it could

get damaged.

• After each reading clean the tip carefully with

a dry cloth and disinfect with ethyl alcohol to

prevent incorrect readings being taken.

• Never expose the BS 31 to direct sunlight or

extreme heat, as this might damage the dis-

play.

• Never attempt to bend the thermometer using

force.

• Only open the device when the batteries need

changing.

• On rectal temperature readings the device

must be inserted carefully and no further than

1.5 cm. There is a risk of injury!

• Do not leave in the vicinity of children or ani-

mals.

Normal body temperature lies between 35.8 °C

and 38.0 °C. Ideally you should take your own

temperature and that of your family when you

are fully t, and write down the reading, so

that in the event of illness you will be able to

determine straightaway whether the patient has

a temperature or not.

OPERATION

1. Press the on/off switch. You will hear a beep.

2. The last temperature reading appears for about 2

seconds on the LCD display.

3.Thedisplaythenashesasitpreparesthede-

vice for instruction manual.

4. Once you hear a beep and the Lo °C display ap-

pears continuously, the device is ready for use.

5. Now the measuring tip can be used to take oral

or rectal readings, or readings from under the

armpits.

6. It takes between 30 and 60 seconds to take a

reading. The end of the reading is signalled by a

continuous 10-second beep.

Beeps:

– measured temperature < 37.8 °C:

10 long beeps

– measured temperature ≥ 37.8 °C:

30 short beeps

7. To take another reading, switch the BS 31 off for

a moment and then on again.

The device switches off automatically 10 minutes

after the last reading. However, to save the battery,

always use the on/off switch to switch the device off

after use.

CHANGING THE BATTERY

The battery must be changed as soon as the battery

symbol appears on the display, or the device no

longer switches on.

To change the battery, simply remove the end cap

on the lid of the battery compartment.

Now you can take out the discharged battery, insert

a new one (type LR41/AG3/UCC392/SR41) ensu-

ring correct polarity, and put the cover back on.

Old units, marked with the symbol as

illustrated, may not be disposed of in the

household rubbish.

AVIS IMPORTANTS

• Avant d’utiliser l’appareil, veuillez lire le mode

• Ne pas nettoyer la pointe à l’eau chaude, cela

pourrait l’endommager.

• Après chaque mesure, nettoyer soigneuse-

ment la pointe à l’aide d’un chiffon sec et la

désinfecter à l’aide d’alcool éthylique pour

éviter les erreurs de mesure.

• N’exposez jamais le BS 31 à la lumière solaire

directe ou à une trop forte chaleur qui pourrait

endommager l’afcheur

• N’essayez jamais de plier le thermomètre de

force.

• Ne dévissez l’appareil que lors des remplace-

ments de la pile.

• Pour les mesures de température rectale,

introduire délicatement l’appareil jusqu’à

maximum 1,5 cm. Risque de blessure !

• Ne pas poser l’appareil à portée des enfants

ou d’animaux.

La température normale du corps est comprise

entre 35,8 °C et 38,0 °C. Nous vous recom-

mandons d’effectuer une mesure de votre

température lorsque vous êtes en bonne santé

et de faire de même pour toute votre famille en

prenant note de ces valeurs de manière à pou-

voir reconnaître immédiatement si un patient a

de la èvre ou non.

MISE EN SERVICE

1. Actionnez l’interrupteur marche/arrêt. L’appareil

émet un signal sonore.

2. L’afcheurnumériqueàcristauxliquidesafche

la dernière température mesurée pendant en-

viron 2 secondes.

3. Ensuite,l’afchageclignotependantquel’appa-

reil se prépare pour une nouvelle mesure.

4. L’appareilestànouveauprêtàl’emploilorsqu’un

signal sonore est émis et que l’indication Lo °C

s’afchedemanièreconstante.

5. A présent, la pointe de mesure peut être utilisée

pour des mesures de température orale, axillaire

ou rectale.

6. La mesure de la température dure entre 30 et 60

secondes.Landelamesureestsignaléepar

une tonalité d’une durée de 10 secondes.

Sonnerie :

– température mesurée < 37,8 °C :

une sonnerie longue retentit 10 fois

– température mesurée ≥ 37,8 °C :

une courte sonnerie retentit 30 fois

7. Pour une nouvelle mesure, éteignez brièvement

le BS 31, puis remettez-le en marche.

L’appareil s’éteint automatiquement environ 10

minutes après la dernière mesure effectuée. Cepen-

dant,pouréconomiserlapile,éteigneztoujours

l’appareil après son utilisation en actionnant l’inter-

rupteur marche/arrêt.

REMPLACEMENT DE LA PILE

Dès que le symbole s’afcheouquel’appareilne

démarre plus, les piles doivent être changées.

Pour ce faire, enlevez le capot de l’extrémité du

compartiment de la pile.

Ensuite vous pouvez retirer la pile usée, la rem-

placer par une pile neuve (du type AG3, SR41,

UCC392ouLR41)enveillantàlapolaritécorrecte,

puisremonterlecouvercleducompartimentàpile.
