SPIDERS AND INSECTS CAN OCCASIONALLY
SPIN WEBS OR MAKE NESTS IN THE BURNER
TUBES. THESE
CAN OBSTRUCT GAS FLOW
WHICH COULD RESULT IN A FIRE.
THIS IS KNOWN AS ‘FLASH-BACK’ AND CAN
CAUSE SERIOUS DAMAGE TO BBQ AND CREATE
AN UNSAFE OPERATING ENVIRONMENT.
FREQUENT INSPECTION AND CLEANING OF THE
BURNER TUBES IS RECOMMENDED.
FLASH-BACK
Turn off gas at its source and turn the burner
control(s) to ‘OFF’. Wait until cooled, then clean
burner tubes and burner ports.
CLEANING THE GRILLPLATES
Allow to cool before washing in a warm soapy
solution. Use a wash cloth, a vegetable brush, or
steel wool.
CLEANING THE FLAMETAMER
Periodically wash in a warm soapy solution.
Use a wire brush to remove stubborn burnt on
cooking residue if necessary. Dry thoroughly
before re-installing in the BBQ body.
Only for Premium GT and Maxim GT.
CLEANING THE GREASE RECEPTACLE
Allow contents to cool before emptying and
washing in liquid detergent.

on your gas BBQ. It is important that you use the
correct regulator for the types of gas you buy.
