YOUR OWNER’S MANUAL
Please Read Carefully
This helmet is intended only for pedal cyclists, skateboarders
or rollerskaters, as specified in the helmet marketing. It is not
intended for motorsport, moped or other uses.
Any helmet subjected to a violent impact should be discarded and
destroyed, although helmet damage may not always be evident.
In addition, it is recommended that helmets be replaced after
three years from the date of purchase, or if it does not fit you any
more. Since this helmet is made of expanded polystyrene foam,
there’s a chance it may be penetrated by sharp objects.
Do not modify or remove any original component parts of your
helmet, other than as recommended by Giro. Doing so voids all
Giro warranties. Some Giro styles of helmet are supplied with a
removable visor. The attachment of these visors is not detrimental
to the helmet material. While the visors themselves do not offer
impact protection, they do not influence the safety performance
of the helmets.
No helmet can protect the wearer from all foreseeable accidents,
including those involving bicycle to motor vehicle collisions.
Depending on the type of impact even a very low speed acci-
dent can result in a serious head injury or fatality. This helmet is
designed to protect the head and cannot guard against cervical,
spine or other bodily injuries that may result from an accident.
The helmets should not be used by children while climbing or in
other play activities, where a risk of strangulation exists.
Please exercise care and good judgment whenever you ride.
Comply with all traffic regulations and do your part to avoid acci-
dents of any kind.
How to Fit Your Helmet
A Giro helmet can only protect you if it fits well. Make sure you try on
different sizes and choose the size which feels secure and comfort-
able on your head. If properly fitted, this helmet is designed to stay
on your head in an accident.
