I just recently purchased this model from Home Depot a few weeks ago and tried it once so far. The basement was at 51% When I set the control on the dehumidifier to 45% it seemed to run contiguous. When I check the humidity in the basement it was down to 32% and had to turn it off. Could the new dehumidifier control be out of sequence? Today the basement is 47% but the control on the new dehumidifier 55%. I have 3 table humidistats all the same one. They are +or- 1 and read 47%. Any suggestions?

Same problem...runs continuously when set at 50 and still 50 in cellar when set on 55. Never shuts off

THE UNIT WORKED FINE FOR ABOUT A YEAR THEN JUST QUIT. HAS ANYONE ELSE HAVE AN IDEA ON HOW I CAN TROUBLESHOOT IT? THANKS

I have had this for a little over a year and can't seem to get or keep it draining to the hose. It does drain to the hose occasionally, but not all the time. I need it to run continuously, but because it keeps going to the bucket, I have to remember to go to the basement to empty. No matter how many times I have disconnected and reconnected the hose, it still only works sporatically.
