2. AC Voltage

Operating procedure:

A. Put the function switch into the position.

B. Select the correct measuring range. In case of doubt,

select the maximum range. If possible, switch back to

a smaller range for a more accurate measurement.

C. Apply the test lead to the testing point.

D. Check the reading on the display.

3. Direct Current

RANGE RESOLUTION

200 mA 100 µA

Uses a 200 mA /250 V fuse for overvoltage protection.

Operating procedure:

A. Put the function switch into the position.

B. Select the 200 mA measuring range.

C. Apply the test lead to the testing point.

D. Check the reading on the display.

4. Resistance

RANGE RESOLUTION

2000 Ω 1 Ω

20 K Ω 10 Ω

200 K Ω 100 Ω

2000 K Ω 1 K Ω

Open circuit voltage: 2.8 V

Overvoltage protection: 230 V DC or AC in less than

10 seconds.

Operating procedure:

A. Put the function switch into the Ω position.

B. Select the correct measuring range. In case of doubt,

select the maximum range. If possible, switch back to

a smaller range for a more accurate measurement.

C. Apply the test lead to the testing point.

D. Check the reading on the display.

5.Diode

(Test current around 1 mA) and display the forward voltage

drop.

Operating procedure:

A. Put the function switch into the Ω position.

B. Select the 2000 Ω range with the range selector.

C. Apply the test lead to the diode, red to positive and

black to negative.

D. Check the reading on the display.

6. Transistor hFE

V c/e = 2.8 V

lb = 10 µA

Operating procedure:

A. Put the function switch into the hFE position.

B. Select the hFE position with the range selector.

C. Place the transistor in the hFE testing slot. (Connect

the base-collector/emittor in the correct way to the

transistor socket).

D. Check the reading on the display.
