My machine has always been great but recently it has not responded to the foot pedal. It sometimes does not respond and after a few minutes of waiting and wiggling it has started to work. It also beeps more than once when it is turned on. But If turned of and on again a few times it is ok. Can you help?

Hi. My machine has decided not to zigzag or similar. It does not want to put any width into the stitch. Have turned off and on again, have moved the stitch selection away and back. Any ideas?
