Operating Instructions for the Clinical Digital Thermometer Model dyras FET-365
NOTES
Please read the instruction manual thoroughly before using your new device. It is important to keep these
instructions as a useful reminder that’ll help you enjoy the many features available. If the device becomes
faulty during regular use, it should only be repaired by an authorised service engineer. The manufacturer is not
responsible if the device becomes damaged or defective as a result of the user not following the information
included in the instruction manual.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Of course, it’s not possible for us to anticipate or provide safety rules for every specic situation, so we ask you to
apply commonsense precautions when using the device in a situation that isn’t described below.
Do not immerse the device in water or any other liquid! If humidity gets into the device, it can cause defects,
so do not use it in the bathroom or any other room where there is high humidity.
Attention! Should the device, despite your caution, fall into water or make contact with humidity in any
other way, please take it to the authorised service station and have it checked by an expert before re-using it!
We have to call your attention to the fact that if the product becomes defective due to environmental eects
like this, it will be considered as improper handling, and the manufacturer's warranty will lapse!
The device cannot be used by children, by people requiring medical attendance or by handicapped persons
without assistance. In such cases the use of the device is subject to ensuring inspection and guaranteeing
safe conditions of use.
There is a small sized battery inside the device. For this reason it must be used and stored
so that the battery is out of the reach of children to prevent it from being swallowed.
However, if a battery is swallowed, seek medical advice without delay!
Don't use the device in the presence of explosive or inammable gases, vapours or liquids.
The use of the device must be avoided in areas where the temperature is too high or too low or where the
device is subject to vibrations. Avoid using the device under wet or vaporous conditions. The device can be
used within the temperature range of +10°C to +35°C and stored within the range of +5°C to +40°C.
The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage that results from overuse, incorrect operation, incorrect
maintenance, neglecting the information given in the instruction manual or normal wear and tear. In
addition, the manufacturer is not responsible for damage caused by any parts of the device breaking or
cracking.

The clinical digital thermometer is intended for measuring the temperature of the human body. It cannot be
used for measuring the temperature of any other bodies or materials. The measurement range of the clinical
digital thermometer extends from 32°C to 42.9°C and it can be used only within this range.
Attention! The device must not be disassembled, its casing must not be removed, or its repair attempted.
There are no parts inside the device that could be home repaired or used for any other purpose. In the
case of any defect of the device please have it repaired only by an authorised special service station.
The manufacturer does not undertake any warranty for any improper attempt at repair, or any intervention
performed by unauthorised persons.
Keep your environment clean! After use the device cannot be disposed together with solid
residential waste, because it can seriously damage living beings and human health. Please hand
over the device - at the end of its lifetime - to a waste disposal facility specializing in collecting
electrical devices, or to a waste disposal facility performing recycling or environmental friendly
disposal of electrical devices. In addition please never put spent batteries removed from the
device in the household waste, but take them to a collecting point designated for this purpose,
because spent batteries are hazardous waste, they contaminate the environment if they are not
disposed of, collected or destroyed in an environmentally friendly way.
Please use only batteries as specied in the instruction manual. Other batteries (other size or shape) cannot
be inserted in the device and it may become inoperable or damaged when used with batteries supplying a
dierent voltage.
Never throw the batteries in the re, because they can explode.
Please keep the device in its box when it is not in use, this way you can protect it against possible damage
during storage.
Important notice!
Your attention is drawn to the fact that even if the clinical digital thermometer is highly precise for
measuring the temperature of human body, the readings may only be considered to be informative.
Should you have any doubt concerning the temperature measured or if the result indicates a very
low or high temperature, please conrm the measurement by a control thermometer for diagnostic
purposes as well.
Protect the clinical digital thermometer against impact, dropping and bending. The clinical digital
thermometer does not have to be shaken, this is not necessary. Take care to prevent anything dropping onto
the thermometer and never put it into your pocket, but keep it stored in its box. Take care to prevent any
liquid or foreign substance from penetrating into the openings of the cover.
If the clinical digital thermometer needs to be disinfected, only wipe its sensor (1) with cotton-wool slightly
dipped in ethyl alcohol. The clinical digital thermometer must not be heated up, immersed in water, sprayed
with water or disinfected in a bath of chemicals!
Please keep this instruction manual. If you give the device to anyone else, you must give them this
instruction manual, too!
