I don’t understand how to change the battery ! Model 89050U. I’ve undone very small screws but can’t get little square cover open. Keep reading instruction but it won’t open. What am I doing wrong. I need diagram to see what I am doing wrong. I use these scales every day at the moment so am desperate for them to be working. . Please reply soon

i have to weigh myself every day because of the problems I have controlling my body fluids. When I first purchased this scale, which was about a month ago, I was getting good readings. I feel now the readings are not accurate. I can weigh myself right now and get one reading and three or four hours from now I can get on the scale and reading can show three or four pounds difference. The weight difference sometimes is higher or lower than the original reading. I have changed the batteries.

A battery in my device is oxidized, can I still safely use it? Verified

Ja, the device can still be safely used. Firstly, remove the oxidizd battery. Never use bare hands to do this. Then clean the battery compartment with a cotton swab dipped in vinegar or lemon juice. Let it dry and insert new batteries.
