SAFETY

INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, especially

when children are present, basic safety pre-

cautions should always be taken, including

the following:

BEFORE USING

DANGER - Any appliance is electrically

live even when the switch is off.

To reduce the risk of death by electric shock:

1. Always unplug appliance immediately

after using.

2. Do not place or store appliance where it can

fall or be pulled into a tub or sink.

3. Do not place in, or drop into water or other

liquids.

4. If an appliance falls into water, unplug it

immediately. Do not reach into the water.

WARNING -

To reduce the risk of burns,

electrocution, fire, or injury to persons:

1. This appliance should never be left un-

attended when plugged in.

2. Close supervision is necessary when

this appliance is used by, on, or near chil-

dren or individuals with certain disabilities.

Unsupervised use could result in fire or per-

sonal injury.

3. Use this appliance only for its intended use

as described in this manual. Do not use attach-

ments not recommended by the manufacturer.

4. Never operate this appliance if it has a

damaged cord or plug, if it is not work-

ing properly, or if it has been dropped or

damaged, or dropped into water. Do not

attempt to repair the appliance. Incorrect

reassembly or repair could cause a risk

of fire, electric shock, or injury to persons

when the appliance is used. Return the

appliance to an authorized service center

for examination and repair.

5. Keep the cord away from heated surfaces.

Do not allow cord to contact heated surfaces.

Do not pull or twist cord. Let appliance cool

completely before putting away. Loop cord

loosely around appliance when storing.

6. This appliance has a polarized plug (one

blade is wider than the other). As a safety

feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet

only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the

outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,

contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt

to defeat this safety feature.

7. Never drop or insert any object into any

opening.

8. Do not use outdoors or operate where aero-

sol (spray) products are being used or where

oxygen is being administered.

9. Do not use an extension cord to operate

appliance.

10. Surfaces of this appliance may be hot

when in use. Do not let heated surfaces touch

eyes or skin.

11. Do not place the steam nozzle directly on

any surface or on the appliance power cord

while it is hot or plugged in.

12. Unplug this appliance before filling or

emptying. Do not overfill.

13. Do not operate steamer without properly

filling the water container.

14. Never yank cord to disconnect from

outlet; instead, grasp plug and pull to

disconnect.

15. Burns could occur from touching hot parts,

hot water, or steam. Use care when removing

water reservoir or when you turn a steam

appliance upside down – there may be hot

water in reservoir. Always position steamer

head away from you and any other person

when turning on.

16. To reduce likelihood of circuit overload, do

not operate another high wattage appliance on

the same circuit.

17. When installing or removing attachments,

please be sure the unit is off and no steam is

being released to avoid contact with hot water.

18. Use caution when installing or removing

an attachment as it may contain hot water

from condensation. Ensure that the attach-

ment is dry or cooled off to avoid contact with

hot water.

FILLING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Place the unit on its back on a flat and stable

surface.

2. While holding the water reservoir with one

hand, move the release switch up toward the

steam head nozzle.

3. Pull the reservoir out, away from the body.

4. Turn the reservoir over, revealing the rubber

inlet cover.

5. Open the inlet cover and fill the reservoir

with everyday tap water (filtered water may

reduce hard water problems).

6. Close the inlet cover and return the reser-

voir to its place, making sure that it is secure.

IMPORTANTES

Siempre que use aparatos eléctricos, espe-

cialmente en la presencia de niños, debe

3. No coloque el aparato ni lo deje caer al agua

4. Si el aparato cayera al agua, desconéctelo

inmediatamente. No toque el agua.

la clavija estuviesen dañados, después

de que hubiese funcionado mal o que se

hubiese caído o si estuviese dañado. No

intente reparar el aparato. El ensamblar

las partes de manera incorrecta aumenta

los riesgos de incendio, electrocución y

heridas. Regrese el aparato a un centro

de servicio autorizado para su revisión y

reparación.

5. Mantenga el cable alejado de superficies

calientes. No permita que el cordón haga

contacto con las partes calientes. No jale ni

retuerce el cordón. Permita que el aparato

enfríe completamente antes de guardarlo.

Enrolle el cable sin apretar alrededor del apa-

rato para guardarlo.

6. El cable de este aparato está dotado de una

clavija polarizada (una pata es más ancha que

otra). Como medida de seguridad, se podrá

enchufar de una sola manera en la toma de

corriente polarizada. Si no entrara en la toma

de corriente, inviértela. Si aún no entrara com-

pletamente, comuníquese con un electricista.

No intente ir en contra de esta función de

seguridad.

7. Nunca deje caer ni inserte ningún objeto en

ninguna de las aberturas del aparato.

8. No lo utilice en exteriores, ni lo haga fun-

cionar donde se estén usando productos en

aerosol (spray) o donde se esté administrando

oxígeno.

9. No utilice una extensión con este aparato.

10. La superficie de este aparato puede vol-

verse muy caliente durante el uso. Mantenga

los ojos y la piel alejados de las superficies

calientes.

11. No coloque la boquilla en ninguna super-

ficie mientras esté caliente o el aparato

esté conectado. Manténgala alejada del cable

eléctrico.

12. Desenchufe el aparato antes de llenar el

depósito de agua. No sobrellene el depósito.

13. Nunca utilice el aparato con el depósito

de agua vacío.

14. Nunca jale el cordón para desconectarlo;

agárrelo por la clavija.

15. Las partes calientes, el agua caliente y el

vapor pueden causar heridas. Tenga cuidado

al vaciar el depósito de agua o al voltear el

aparato, puesto que el depósito interno puede

contener agua caliente. Asegúrese de que

la boquilla no apunte hacia su cuerpo u otra

persona cuando enciende el aparato.

16. Para evitar una sobrecarga eléctrica, no

conecte otro aparato de alta potencia en el

mismo circuito eléctrico.

17. Asegúrese de que el aparato esté apagado

y que no esté emitiendo vapor antes instalar/

remover los accesorios.

18. Instale/retire el accesorio con cuidado,

puesto que podría estar caliente o contener

agua caliente. Asegúrese de que los acceso-

rios estén secos y fríos antes de manipularlos.

1. Ponga el aparato al revés sobre una super-

ficie llana y segura.

2. Deslice el botón de liberación del depósito

de agua hacia arriba, sosteniendo el depósito

firmemente.

3. Retire el depósito de agua.

4. Voltee el depósito de agua.

5. Retire el tapón de caucho y llene el depósito

con agua de la llave (o agua filtrada si el agua

es dura).

6. Cierre el tapón y vuelva a instalar el depósi-

to de agua de manera segura.
