ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

Models EXCEPT HSE301A & 361A should have their mains lead connected to a

standard 230 volt (50Hz) electrical supply through an approved plug or a

suitably fused isolator switch. We recommend that these pumps be fitted with

a Residual Current Device (RCD).

NOTE: This is mandatory when pump is used for pumping swimming pools.

Models HSE301 & 361

must be connected to a protected 110V supply,

through a suitably approved connector. On no account must a 230V-13amp

plug be used.

NOTE: If a portable 110V transformer is used, make sure it has a rated

capacity sufficient to take the load of the pump.

In the event that the pump is hard-wired into the electrical system, it must be

carried out in accordance with IEE regulations.

If used for draining swimming pools or ponds, the pump MUST be fitted with a

Residual Current Device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current of no

greater than 30mA.

As the colours of the flexible cable of this appliance may not correspond with

the coloured markings identifying terminals in your plug proceed as follows:

• The BLUE wire must be

connected to the

terminal which is

marked N or coloured

black.

• The BROWN wire must

be connected to the

terminal which is

marked L or coloured

red.

THOROUGHLY BEFORE CONNECTING THE PRODUCT TO THE MAINS

SUPPLY.

WARNING: THE WIRES IN THE POWER CABLE OF THIS PRODUCT ARE

COLOURED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FOLLOWING CODE:

BLUE = NEUTRAL BROWN = LIVE YELLOW AND GREEN = EARTH

Plug must be BS1363/A approved.
