Montage

Scheinwerfer am Fahrrad mit dem montierten Edelstahlhalter oder einem anderen

Halter sicher befestigen und so einstellen, dass der Gegenverkehr nicht geblendet wird.

Lichtkegel in etwa 10 Meter Entfernung auf die Straße ausrichten. Schrauben so fest

anziehen, dass sich der Scheinwerfer nicht von selbst verstellen kann.

plus (Standlichtfunktion)

Die Standlichtfunktion ist immer betriebsbereit, komplett wartungsfrei und funktio-

niert ohne Batterien oder Akkus.

Funktionsweise: Während der Fahrt wird ein geringer Teil der Energie, die der Dynamo

liefert, in einem Kondensator gespeichert. Nach ca. 3 Minuten Fahrt ist der Kondensator

voll geladen. Im Stand versorgt diese gespeicherte Energie die LED im Scheinwerfer,

so dass der Scheinwerfer weiter leuchtet.

Grundlegende Schaltoptionen

Schalter auf „1“: Lichtanlage leuchtet permanent während der Fahrt, auch am

Tage.

Schalter auf „0“: Lichtanlage leuchtet nicht. Bei Versionen mit Standlicht wird

zunächst die im Kondensator gespeicherte Energie aufgebraucht.

Zusätzliche Schaltoption bei

Senso-Scheinwerfern ohne Tagfahrlicht

Voraussetzung für einen funktionierenden Betrieb im Senso-Modus ist ein ständig

mitlaufender Nabendynamo.

Schalter auf „S“: Bei Dämmerung und Dunkelheit schalten sich Scheinwerfer und

Rücklicht automatisch ein.

Zusätzliche Modi und Schaltoptionen

bei Scheinwerfern mit Tagfahrlicht

Die Versionen LUMOTEC Lyt T N /Classic T N und LUMOTEC Lyt T senso plus /Classic

T senso plus sind mit Tagfahrlicht ausgerüstet und besitzen zwei Helligkeitsstufen:

Modus „Tag“: Der Scheinwerfer leuchtet gedimmt auf die Straße, die zusätzlichen

LEDs des Tagfahrlichts leuchten mit voller Helligkeit. Maximale

Sichtbarkeit für entgegenkommenden Verkehr!

Modus „Nacht“: Der Scheinwerfer leuchtet mit voller Helligkeit auf die Straße, die

zusätzlichen LEDs des Tagfahrlichts leuchten mit verminderter

Helligkeit. Maximale Sicht auf der Straße, zusätzliche (geringere)

Sichtbarkeit für entgegenkommenden Verkehr!

Voraussetzung für einen solchen dauerhaften Betrieb ist ein ständig mitlaufender

Nabendynamo. In beiden Betriebsmodi leuchtet ein angeschlossenes Rücklicht immer

mit.

Schalter auf „T“: Betrieb im Modus „Tag“. Damit ist tagsüber oder bei Nebel eine

gute Sichtbarkeit des Fahrrads gewährleistet. Auch bei Dunkelheit

ist das Licht auf der Straße im Modus „Tag“ nach der StVZO

zugelassen und oftmals ausreichend – ideal z. B. für Fahrten auf

beleuchteten Straßen, um auch nachts besser gesehen zu werden.

Schalter auf „S“: Nur bei LUMOTEC Lyt T senso plus /Classic T senso plus – Im

Hellen arbeitet der Scheinwerfer im Modus „Tag“ (siehe oben).

Bei Dämmerung und Dunkelheit schaltet der Scheinwerfer

automatisch in den Modus „Nacht“ um.

Schalter auf „N“: Nur bei LUMOTEC Lyt T N /Classic T N – Betrieb im Nachtmodus.

Damit ist nachts beste Sicht auf die Fahrbahn gewährleistet,

während die Signal-LEDs mit verminderter Leuchtkraft weiter-

strahlen.

Weitere Informationen zum LUMOTEC Lyt / Classic

Der Scheinwerfer ist ausschließlich zum Betrieb an Dynamos (Wechselspannung)

vorgesehen. Der Betrieb mit Gleichspannung (Batterien, Akkus) erfolgt auf eigene

Gefahr, da Spannungen über 7 Volt die Elektronik schädigen können.

Im Gleichspannungsbetrieb ist der LUMOTEC Lyt verpolt anzuschließen, d. h. das

Massekabel an + und das Stromkabel an —.

Spezielle E-Bike-Varianten können Gleichspannungen von 6 bis 42 V aufnehmen.

Fragen Sie Ihren Fachhändler.

Wird das Fahrrad kopfüber im Regen auf einem Auto transportiert oder mit Wasser

abgespritzt, so ist der Scheinwerfer abzudichten (z. B. mit einer Plastiktüte), um das

Eintreten von Feuchtigkeit durch die unterseitigen Öffnungen zu verhindern.

Der Überspannungsschutz des Scheinwerfers ist auch ohne angeschlossenes Rücklicht

wirksam.

Assembly

Make sure to securely attach the headlamp to the bicycle using the stainless steel

bracket and adjust it in a way to prevent any blinding effect on the oncoming traffic.

Align the beam on the road at approx. 10 m distance. Tighten the screws to prevent

unintentional misalignment of the headlamp.

plus (standlight function)

The standlight function is always ready for operation and entirely maintenance-free,

working without (rechargeable) batteries.

A minor amount of the energy generated by the dynamo is stored in a capacitor while

riding. After approx. 3 minutes, the capacitor is fully charged. When the bicycle is

standing still, the stored energy feeds the LED of the headlamp so that the headlight

continues to shine for a while.

Basic switch options

“1“: The headlamp is shining permanently while in motion, also in daylight.

“0“: Lighting system is inactive after the standlight energy is used up.

without daytime running light

A constantly running hub dynamo is required for a functioning automatic operation.

“S“: The headlamp and rear light are automatically switched on in twilight

and darkness.

Additional modes and switch options for headlights

with daytime running light

The versions LUMOTEC Lyt T N /Classic T N and LUMOTEC Lyt T senso plus /Classic

T senso plus are equipped with daytime running light and have two modes:

Mode “DRL”: The driving light LED in the headlight shines dimmed onto the road.

The additional DRL LEDs shine with full luminance. Maximal visibility

for oncoming traffic!

Mode “Night”: The driving light emits the full luminance. The DRL LEDs shine

with diminished luminance. Maximal vision on the road, additional

(diminished) visibility for oncoming traffic!

A constantly running hub dynamo is required for functioning daytime running light.

If a rear light is connected, it always shines when the headlight is switched to „T“

or “S”.

“T”: Headlamp in mode „Daytime Running Light“ (DRL). Best visibility for

the bicycle during the day or during foggy weather. The driving light

in DRL mode is sufficient to be approved by German traffic regula-

tions even during the night and is often more than sufficient – ideal

visibility is guaranteed for example when cycling on well lit streets at

night.

“S”: Only LUMOTEC Lyt T senso plus/Classic T senso plus – During day-

light, the headlight runs with full Daytime Running Light, see above.

During dusk or darkness, the headlight automatically switches to

night mode.

”N“: Only LUMOTEC Lyt T N /Classic T N – Night mode. The driving light

emits the full luminance. The DRL LEDs shine with diminished lumi-

nance.

Additional Information

The headlamp is intended for powering with dynamos (AC voltage) only.

When powered by DC voltage, the polarity of the connection has to be reversed: mass

connected to +, current connected to —.

If you require a special E-bike version of the headlight for DC voltages from 6 to 42 V,

please contact your specialized dealer.

If the bicycle is transported or cleaned upside down, the headlamp has to be covered

with a plastic bag to prevent moisture from entering through its bottom apertures.

The overvoltage protection of the headlight is effective even if no rear light is connected.

Anschluss an Dynamo

Das vom Dynamo kommende Kabel an die mit „in“ beschrifteten Steckanschlüsse

des Scheinwerfers anschließen. Falls kein Kabel am Dynamo vorhanden ist, die

Verbindung mit dem beiliegenden Doppelkabel herstellen. Die Steckanschlüsse

„out“ dienen zum Anschluss eines Rücklichts per Doppelkabel. Achtung! Immer

auf die richtige Polung achten. + = Strom, — = Masse. Masseführung über den

Scheinwerferhalter ist nicht möglich.

Connection to dynamo

The cable coming from the dynamo must be connected to the terminals of the

headlight that are marked “in”. If no dynamo cable is present, use the included

duplex cable. The terminals marked “out” are for connection of a rear light by

duplex cable. Ensure correct connection. + = current, — = mass. Earth contact is

impossible via the mounting bracket.
