My shredder has worked well for the past 3 years but now as soon as I switch it on , it switches off again after 2-3 seconds , even with no load. Is there aa cut-out switch somewhere that I don't know about?

Hopelessly unreliable, this shredder. I have twice had mine replaced under guarantee because it kept turning itself off (as per Norman P) and now my third one has started to do it, But I am now out of guarantee. Don't buy one!

I've just used my 2200 shredder for the first time, I wanted one to shred all my green waste after cutting back flowers dead heading etc, I notice that it doesn't shred flower stalks it just cuts them into 6 inch pieces. I had to take the front off as it clogged up and I noticed that the blades are very badly damaged I've only shredded half a dozen lupins surely this is not normal it's supposed to be a new machine how long do they last

Purchased the AXT rapid 2200 a couple of months ago. On its second use today it runs, but doesn’t draw material through the cutter. Every branch or twig needs to be pushed in and held down and takes forever to shred. Not at all pleased with this..
