READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
Use the Steam Generator only for its intended use. Remove any
labels from the iron body or Soleplate before first use.
To protect against a risk of electric shock, do not immerse any
part of the appliance in water or other liquid.
This appliance should always be turned Off before plugging into
or unplugging from an outlet. Push the On/Off Button and the
light will go out. Never yank cord to disconnect from outlet;
instead grasp plug and pull to disconnect.
Do not allow cord to touch hot surfaces. Let iron cool
completely before putting away. Loop cord loosely around the
iron when storing.
Always disconnect iron from electrical outlet when filling with
or emptying of water and when not in use. Be careful to avoid
spilling water over Boiler Water Tank when filling.
Always use the provided Funnel and Water Pitcher to fill the
Boiler Water Tank.
Do not fill the Boiler Water Tank with vinegar or other anti-
limestone agents.
Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or

on an ironing board. Always position iron carefully on the base
to prevent it from falling if ironing board is accidentally moved
or cord is pulled.
Water may leak from the iron’s Soleplate if the Surge of Steam
Button is pressed before the Boiler Water Tank has reached the
optimal temperature (after about 10 minutes) or before the
appliance is hot.
Note: Before unscrewing the Safety Fill Cap follow these
operations:
Press the Surge of Steam Button to release all the residual
steam. Turn the iron/boiler Off. Unplug from the wall socket;
slowly unscrew the Safety Fill Cap and wait for the hissing
noise to stop before unscrewing it completely.
The use of parts/attachments not recommended or sold by the
appliance manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or
steam. Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down or
use the vertical surge of steam.
Do not operate in the presence of explosive and/or flammable
fumes.
Do not use iron outdoors.
This appliance is intended for household use only, not for
commercial or industrial use. Use for anything other than
intended will void the warranty.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high-
wattage appliance on the same circuit.
If an extension cord is necessary, a 10-ampere rated cord with
a polarized plug and UL approval should be used. Cords rated
for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to
arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled on or tripped over.

Troubleshooting
BOILER WATER TANK WON’T HEAT?
1. Is the unit plugged in? Is the Power Light on?
2. Press the ON/OFF button. If the light is not on, will a lamp
plugged into the outlet turn on?
IRON WON’T START STEAMING?
1. Did you let the unit preheat long enough? It must heat up for 10
minutes in order to produce steam.
2. Is the Low Water Indicator light on? Check to see if there is
enough water in the Boiler Water Tank.
3. If steaming doesn’t start, press and hold the Surge of Steam
button for 5-10 seconds. This is particularly important each time
you begin a new ironing session.
WATER DROPLETS COMING FROM STEAM VENTS?
1. Is the Temperature Selector Dial set in the “Steam Band”
between blend and linen? If not, move the Dial to increase the
temperature.
2. Did you stop using the iron for a few minutes? You may get a
little water spotting when you begin again due to condensation
in the Steam Hose. You may want to hold the iron over an old
towel or a laundry basket to catch the droplets before
proceeding.
TEMPERATURE LIGHT GOES OFF
1. This is normal. The light will go out once the iron has reached
the temperature you’ve selected for your fabric.
2. The light will cycle on and off as you iron indicating it is
maintaining the proper temperature.
HISSING FROM THE SAFETY FILL CAP
1. It is normal to have a little hissing when you open the Safety Fill
Cap to refill as some pressure is being released from residual
steam.
2. To cut down on residual steam, CONTINUE ironing with full
steam until all the steam is used up before opening the Safety
Fill Cap.
3. After refilling, be sure the Safety Fill Cap is tightened closed.
