Hoogaars

Denne type hollandske skerbåde har i tidernes løb

haft væsentlig mindre opmærksomhed end andre

hollandske adbundere.

Først i slutningen af 1700-tallet træffer man på

optegnelser om denne type, som i meget stor ud-

strækning er blevet anvendt til skeri af muslinger og

østers i de hollandske og amske søer og kanaler.

Typen er i de seneste 60 år blevet fortrængt af mere

moderne skibe, men ses i dag meget ofte ombygget

til lystbåde.

En speciel lille hoogaars-yacht blev bygget i 1907 til

færgemanden på øen Tholen i Holland. Denne båd

er i 1924 ombygget til lystbåd af Hugo van Kuyck,

medlem af den Kongelige belgiske yacht Club.

Størrelsen på originalskibene er ca. 10 – 12 meter,

og byggesættet er udført i forholdet 1:27.

This type of Dutch at bottomed boat has not re-

ceived the same attention as other vessels over the

years.

These boats originated 1780 – 1800 when they are

mentioned for the rst time in documents of that

period. They were originally used for the shing of

mussels and oysters in Dutch and Flemish lakes and

channels. Over the past 60 years these ships have

gradually been updated by more modern versions

and they are very often rebuilt today into popular

pleasure boats.

The “little” hoogaars-yacht, has been built in 1907 in

the village Bruinisse for the ferryman from Gorishoek,

which lies on the southern coast of the isle of Tholen.

In 1924 this yacht has been rebuilt as a pleasure

yacht by Mr. Hugo van Kuyck, member of the R.Y.C.

in Belgium.

Gratitude is due to Mr. J. van Beylen and the Belgian

National Maritime Museum, Steenplein 11, Antwer-

pen. Material from the book “De Hoogaars”, pub-

lished by; De Boer Maritiem.

The size of the original is about 10 to 12 metres and

the model is made in a scale of 1:27.

Über Jahre hinweg schenkte man dieser Art von Hol-

ländischen Booten mit achem Schiffsboden weniger

Beachtung als anderen Schiffstypen.

In Schriftstücken von ca. 1780 – 1800 werden diese

Schiffe zum ersten Mal erwähnt. Die Originale

wurden zum Fischen von Muscheln und Austern in

Holländischen und Flämischen Seen und Kanälen

eingesetzt.

Während der letzten 60 Jahre wurden diese Schiffe

durch moderne Konstruktionen ersetzt und werden

nun oft restauriert und in sehr beliebte Vergnü-

gungsschiffe umgebaut.

Das Original ist etwa 10 – 12 Meter lang. Das Modell

wird im Mass-stab 1:27 gebaut.

Au l des années ce type de bateau hollandais á

fond plat a perdu de son importance par rapport aux

types de bateau. C’est dans les documents des an-

neés 1780 á 1800 que l’on en retrouve les premieres

traces. A l’origine ces bateaux étaient utilises pour

la pêche aux moules et aux huitres dans les lacs

et canaux hollandaise et amands. Durant les 60

derniéres années, ces bateaux ont été remplacés

par d’autres plus modernes et sont généralement

recontruits et utilises comme bateaux de plaisance.

La longueur des Hoogaars était de 10 á 12 métres et

la maquette est réalisée á l’échelle 1:27.

Hoogars

Aan de Zeeuwse vissersschepen wordt in het

algemeen te weinig aandacht besteed. Vermoedelijk

omdat Zeeland door de grote rivieren en zeegaten

nogal van de rest van Nederland afgesloten was,

waren de Zeeuwse hoogaarsen minder bekend dan

b.v. de boeiers, tjalken, botters en Skutsjes.

Eind 1700 wordt voor het eerst van de hoogaars

melding gemaakt. Deze platbodems oefenden de

mossel- en oestervangst uit in de Zeeuwse wateren.

Er zijn verschillende typen hoogaarsen, o.a. de

Zeeuwsulaamse, de Kinderdijkse, de Arnemidense

en de Tholense hoogaars.

Het ”kleine” hoogaarsjacht ’Marieke’ werd in 1907 te

Bruinisse gebouwd voor de veerman van Jorishoek.

In tegenstelling tot de grote hoogaars had de kleine

slechts 5 knieen in het ruim en was dus korter; de

lengte van dit scheepje bedroeg dan ook slechts

9,75 meter. In 1924 wird deze hoogaars verbouwd

tot jacht door ir. Hugo van Kuyck, lid van de Royal

Yacht Club in Belgie. Gegevens ontleend aan het

boek „De Hoogaars“ door J. Van Beylen, uitgeverij

De Boer Maritiem.

drawing mentions part 50, not present on parts list and not in kit, but mentioned on the internet: beams 4x4mm the laser has worked moderately, parts can sometimes be difficult to remove and with minor damage.
