INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

Preparation for Use

Always inspect the appliance to ensure the cutting head is free from dirt etc

and is running smoothly.

Important information regarding the Power Screw

The voltage level in the mains supply varies throughout the day. The power

screw allows adjustment of the cutting system to ensure optimum power

performance of the clippers at all times. Each time the clippers are used

follow these instructions:

• Using the key provided, turn the power screw clockwise until the clipper

becomes noisy (“clatters”).

• Carefully turn the power screw anti-clockwise until you reach the point

where the noise level subsides.

The clippers are now adjusted to the correct voltage level and ready for use.

This is the maximum power setting.

For best trimming performance

• Use on clean dry hair that has been combed until tangle-free.

• Attach the appropriate cutting guide as required. If using more than one

grade, start with the largest cutting guide first.

• Hold the clipper against the hair, the teeth of the clipper guide pointing

upwards yet flat against the head.

• Move the clipper upwards and outwards through the hair, a little at a time,

against the direction of hair growth.

• The appliance will work most efficiently when cutting through the hair at

its own speed. Never force the clipper through the hair. Never switch the

clipper off whilst in the hair.

• For longer hair on top of the head, use the barbers comb and lift hair on top of

the head, cutting over the comb, or hold the hair between the fingers and cut

to the desired length. Always working from the front to the back of the head.
